Oil pan parts ref.

Hey all, have a quick question regarding the oil pan for a 2007 Acura TL. Having trouble referencing part numbers between Acura and Honda. Question being is will a 3.5 L Honda oil pan fit a 3.2 Acura. I know they are Honda engines. So basically does the 3.5 L Honda engine for a 2007 Accord work for a 2007 3.2 Acura TL.

Just cross referenced the part numbers between honda and acuras catalog. Seems as though they do not cross over. Everything im seeing for 11200-RYE-A00 is Acura only.

I also pulled this from delray Acuras site if you were trying to find a used one:

PRODUCT DETAILS

  • Manufacturer:Acura has been making waves since its debut as the first Japanese automotive luxury brand. Since then, it has become one of the most recognizable luxury brands on the road. Using Original Equipment replacement parts is the best way to maintain the quality and performance of your Acura and we are the easiest and most economical way of providing you with that quality.

Yeah I finally cross-referenced the parts myself. The 3.5 L oil pan from the Honda should be the same as the 3.5 pan from the Acura type S. The 3.5 L engine type S bottom end does not differ from the 3.2 L in the base model. Does it. the 3.5 L oil pan should fit the 3.2. Assuming that the J35 engine oil pan isn't bigger and takes 4 1/2. Quarts. I want to say the type s takes the same amount of oil, 4 1/2 quarts than the tl non type s

If you look at rockauto.com, the aftermarket Spectra Premium oil pan HOP20C is shown for both the 3.2 & 3.5 for $188.79 before shipping.

OEM 11200-RYE-A00 at DelrayAcura is shown for $186.10 before shipping:

I was wondering how much more of a price difference you were expecting if Honda has a compatible oil pan.

I found the pan for 117 at bkhondaparts. I always look for oe and try to get a great price. Just need to be sure the 3.5 is the same as 3.2. Honda is Acura.

Did not get it resolved. I need to know if the oil pan for the 3.5 07 Accord is the the same as the 07 Acura 3.2. are they the same pan. I assume that the 07 08 pans are the same.

What are you trying to accomplish?

Your best bet would be a 08+ Accord V6 pan. Those cars have 2nd generation J-series motors which the 07-08 TL's also have. The pan numbers aren't the same but they share the same oil strainer (15220-RYE-A01) which tells you that there won't be any clearance issues.

Ty teh cl. Just have a small leak. The car has always been well-maintained by the first owners prior to me. At some point Somebody put a 14 mm bolt in there because they probably stripped out the pan. so it's an oversized drain plug with a 14 M ahead. I am going to replace the oil pan. As the OE oil pan will have the 17 Ml Drain plug in it.
