During the day when I unlock or lock my car, the sidemarkers light up and look almost purplish
They kinda match the switchbacks, match the led's on the side exactly in my case. Bluish white that is... The HID's are waaaaay off... They've color shifted massively and seem like they're under 4300K. I'm planning on buying new 5000K bulbs so I can maintain the usability of my lights... But I like the look right now... I'll get some pics....

So I just wanted to pop in and say I ended up having to do this mod as well not too long ago while prepping my 04 TL for sale as my original LED mod that I had written up way back in the day to replace the individual 4 post LEDs -DID- eventually burn out, but it took over 4 years which seems to be a record compared to others in my old thread.

I used the same modules as the OP here and found I did not need to shave them down as long as inside the main housing I used a knife to remove some of the raised plastic that was acting a bit like a key for the old PCB. If you look down inside after cutting the lights open you will see one of the long sides has a raised bump in it and IIRC the other side doesn't. I removed like 1/2" of that bump with a knife and the lights slid right in.

Slapped on some epoxy and they were good as new.

FYI on a side note, I saw in here someone mentioned (a few years ago now) that they were going to put white LEDs in the rears rather than the stock red. Not sure where they live but something to keep in mind is that here in CA you can only have Red or Amber in the rear and Amber or White in the front. So White in the rear is asking for a ticket. The dividing line between front and rear seems to be the driver's door/side view mirrors.

And if they are still in business, I will just toss another endorsement out there for Rego Sport Tuning in Glendale, CA if anyone is interested in getting their headlight turn signals cleared. I had mine done in Sept 04 and when I sold my car about a month ago they were still clear as can be and never once fogged up on me. They did excellent work.

Anyway, if anyone in SoCal sees an ABP 04 TL A-Spec with white side markers up front and cleared turn signals, thats my old ride which is now under new ownership. Guy who bought it lives down near Irvine somewhere.

Simple, cut leds off the board, then apply 3 strips of 3m tape to the board and stick ur new led strip. Wiring is easy, one positive wire and one negative. U don't have to cut wires just stick ur leds strip wires into the plug then tape up with electrical tape

Not sure if anyone is interested but I ordered a pair of lights very similar to the these. Only difference seems to be mine are plastic (I think), but they are half the price of the oznium ones!!! I should have time to put them in this week maybe.

just did this, make sure you desolder the middle as i pryed it out and broke all the pins. luckily i had a spare set.

Also when desoldering the middle, dont leave heat on too long--it'll melt the plastic in the plug and the pin will dislodge--making it harder to plug on your car's harness.

the oznium cool blue does have a slight purple tinge but looks good to me!

I miss Jamie... Anybody know what happened with him? He did almost all the CF in my car...
