New owner in Texas
Hey all,
New owner of an awesome 2005 TL w/ navigation. Car was very well maintained both inside and out and just rolled over the 137k mark. This is my daily driver that is replacing a 2001 Hyundai elantra that was also my DD.
This car has been at the top of my list for a perfect DD and I'm sure with a little preventative maintenance it will last for many years to come.
Most likely going to keep it stock, just do small things like LEDs, replace a couple of interior pieces that are scuffed and add some new stereo components while keeping the stock look.
Looking forward to gaining some knowledge from here!

ENJOY THE CAR! You've just purchased the greatest feat of engineering by the human race, the perfect compromise on price/reliability/performance and fun!
I'm in Austin-! I can run down to Houston and visit like it's nothing! Just don't have a job right now, so might need to go 50/50 on gas money is all. But EDM shows at Stereo Live are awesome! Great town!

The car is amazing for sure. It might be 9 years old but it ages very well. Austin is definitely not that far. I'll actually be up there in a couple of weekends with the gf.
Where in houston are you truonghthe?
And heat soak happens no matter what, but this isn't a race car either. I have my cammed '11 Camaro SS for that. 460rwhp. Which really isn't much in Texas, let alone Houston.
I'll post some pictures when I get back to my PC. can't post any from my iPhone like on other forums.

How time flies and things change....
Bumping my intro thread from long ago. I've been through many cars since then. 2 more Camaros (SS and ZL1), Corvette Stingray, Tacoma, and a GTI
Full circle back to a 1 owner, 2008 TL Type S that I picked up with only 78k miles on it. I've had it for a few months now and already have done most maintenance items on it. Still waiting a bit more to do the timing belt service. Car was very well kept, only the normal front bumper road rash and a few dings here and there. Interior is immaculate and no dash cracks. Soon I'll be attempting the Nexus 7 install to breathe some life into the infotainment side of things...and to go along with the new stereo upgrades.
I will be putting less than 300 miles on the car per month as well, we use our Accord for driving to work so I hope to keep the TL around for many years to come.

I also just bought a very low mileage 1 owner 2006 Diamond White pearl 6MT,(my second one)
sold my first one that I bought brand new with 7 miles, and regretted it
the one I just bought is bone stock, didn't even have tint. I am doing the full restoration. Stereo under way, tint done, windshield next, a couple whisky dent repairs, then the suspension, wheels, tires and a-spec lip kit.
located in Buda.

THE NEWEST MEMBER, UNDER GOING RESTORATION NOW

Welcome to the club! I've loved my 08 dearly. I just wish it had quieter road noise, but otherwise it's a superbly comfortable daily driver, even if it doesn't have the most superb fuel mileage (especially as honestly I commute 80% of the time in sports shift...more efficient and/or faster, so why let the computer handle it). The earlier (pre 07) models definitely don't fare quite as well as the later 3G's, but they can do damn well too, just treat the dash boards and the transmissions with a lot of love. At 181k miles I've only had to replace an air intake hose, one of the O2 sensors, an evap purge valve, and the alternator, outside of normal maintenance. Not bad overall.

Welcome. I am up in Killeen. I will actually be down in Houston on Saturday going to the WEKFEST pre-meet. I try to go to it every year. I missed last year but I am for sure making it down this year. I also have an 08 WDP Type-S. Maybe I will run into some of you guys from H-Town.

I'm here too. Live in Kingwood, work in the I-45/Spring area. Grey '07 Auto, bought it as the second owner here back in '10 w/ 35k miles. 191k miles now and still daily-driving strong.
