New member...Long time lurker...Possible new owner...

Just wanted to extend a hearty hello to all the board members and tell you a little bout myself.
I am from london, ontario (arctic right now) and I work for tdameritrade as a Phone Rep.

I currently own a 1998 Pontiac Grand prix GTP...which is falling apart...as well as a 1997 honda civic SI with JRSC running 8lbs of boost. Just built a house with the GF of 10 years...lovin every minute....

Now the skinny:
My father bought a 2004 Acura TL brand new and is looking to trade it in. there are about 80000 km on the car. we are looking to trade it in through the dealership so I can get the extended warranty and the low finance rate of 2.9%. As a bank employee, I cannot even beat this rate!! looking to buy it for about 20k...thinkin its a good deal considering the GTP is diming me to death!!!! not sure whats going to go on it next!!!
The TL is just the automatic without Navi...however does have the skirt pkg on it and its in black...sorry dont know all the technical jargin for the car...

anywho... I have been lurking around here for a few months now and have decided to join...lots of great info on here. I am not looking to mod this new car as much as my civic as it is simply a money pit. this car will be just a daily driver...maybe a lowering and a nice set of rims. I look forward to the information and tips that this board has to offer. doesnt look like there are a lot of members from our area here...however I am an active member of our local auto club...LondonAutoClub.

thanks for havin me on board!!!

James

20k for a 2004 with no NAVI? :shakehead

Too much money IMO...

Edit: Nevermind. Didn't think about 20k Canadian.

Welcome!!
As for not planning to mod your car too much...good luck with that! Modding becomes an addiction, soon you will be broke, but your car will look great.
LOL, just kidding!

x2... No major mods are scheduled for my TL. I learned my lesson with my '95 Miata.

Uhhhhh trust me I know a thing or two about dropping it all into a car...currently the civic sits in the garage after dumping over 25k worth of parts into it...what a waste of money...expensive paperweight is what we all call it. There probably isnt a piece of the civic I havent ripped apart 5 times...however I know it is addicting. My interests have changed drastically since getting the new house. we have a nice 2500 square foot house that we were unable to do a lot of upgrades to...so I am slowly "modding" my house instead...since we have moved in, we have done paint, huge deck, I have built a huge wall unit, and refinished all the hand me down furniture we have received from parents...so needless to say...I have been busy...now that my garage is set up though...back to the car thing. there are a few things left to do to the civic...however the TL may take a bit of priority first!
