KingLouie - I just saw your other thread. Doesn't look like you are trying to sell your TL-S, but perhaps tell the forum about it and looking for mod suggestions / help -

Don’t you already have the skunk 2 control arms and Ingalls rear camber kit? just do the hella flush mod on the control arms if they do not give you enough camber how they come.

LOL, my son who was indoctrinated early and often into car repairs was pretty mechanically inclined before he enlisting in the Navy just prior to is 20th birthday. He managed "make rate" four times in just over three years, making AD2 (Petty Officer Second-Class/Aviation Machinist Mate which is an E5 classification) and ended up becoming the Navy's top mechanic on the GE F-414 engine which powers the F/A-18 (E/F/G) Super Hornet/Growler. It's funny, he is, if anything, more critical of his own generation than the rest of us are. When he would get someone in his command who wanted to be spoon-fed, he'd bounce them to another group. "You want to learn and work?" he'd ask, "No problem, I'll take you as far as you want to go, however, if you want to be lazy, get your sorry ass out of my shop."

Sounds like the person who raised him did a nice job.
In a nut shell, my late father sounds just like your son. He was an old school tarmac A&E mechanic for Eastern Airlines for 35 years before a blood clot told him it was time to slow-down. He loved that job and was not afraid to lambaste the younger generation of cocky book smart 'wannabes' working up the chain. When you sign off on a jetliner's mechanical soundness, that's going to be carrying 200+ souls, there's no fn around. It's got to be done right.

LOL, at 18 Mom kinda sorta pushed him into college; he'd been the place kicker for his public high school football team (which went to the state championships and got beaten by a talent heavy private school) and he red-shirted as a freshman in college as a kicker; then his coach discovered he'd played over a decade of soccer and several years of Lacrosse, and started working him out as a slot receiver; he made the defensive types look really bad (he could literally make a defensive end face plant without ever being touched). Had he stayed in college he would have started as a receiver as a second year freshman. During the spring of that year he said he didn't think he was really ready for college and wanted to join the military, whereupon he and I revisited a conversation we'd had when he was a junior in high school. "Son," I said, "when I went into Uncle Sam's Misguided Children I didn't have anybody giving me advice either way and I really didn't care if I ended up as cannon fodder. Here we are three decades later and now I'm a 'dad', so, from my perspective, we're currently in a shooting war and the best place for you to go to keep from getting your fuzzy ass shot off is in the Navy. That plus the Navy has arguably the best and broadest base of technology of any of the services."

As y'all have guessed, he chose the Navy; two years at NAS Lemoore in California, a year at NAS Whidbey Island, and then a year all over Asia and the Middle East. He got his Honorable Discharge a few months before his 24th birthday as an E5 and is now a pretty happy camper running a small company in Colorado.

Yeah, to get the full A&P you really need to pay attention to detail with no fn around.
