New '05 TL owner, need suggestions.

Hello TL fans, i jut purchased my second car 2005 acura TL. I am not very familiar with TL's exept that my cousin owns one. And i thought id stop by here and get some advices. So my car is at 180k miles, i got the car for 5k, it is very clean. Anthracite Metallic color and black interior w/navi. My question is what maintance should i do first and what should i get done before start modding it as in tinting it and stuff like that. First thing i did when i got the car was change the oil and transmission oil and too off the rest of the fluids. What are your recommendations on doing next?

Welcome and congrats on the car! It sounds like you have your priorities in order! Nice work getting all the fluids changed. If you really want peace of mind, you can take it to a dealer for a complete inspection to make sure that nothing else is wrong. Otherwise, if it drives well and you don't hear any noises or smell any odors, just continue following the MID for maintenance schedule.

As far as modifications? That's entirely up to you! The A-Spec kit completely transforms the look of the car in my opinion. Lurk the forums for a while to get an idea of what you like!

Thank you. I'll probably get it into a dealer for inspection and see how everything checks out. Thank you for you response. And where can i get the a-spec kit from!?

Get at complete Detail done on INSIDE & OUTSIDE. Treat the dash also for crack prevention. I just bought an 05' last week and that is on my bucket list. Good luck and welcome.

1.Tints
2. Condition your leather and dash
3. A-spec lip kit
4. Check your brake pads (You never know).
5. Trunk spoiler if you don't have one.

Congratulations again man!

(Mind you these are not in order. Just thinking as they come!)

Make sure (if possible) from the previous owner that the 105K service (timing belt and water pump) was done- this above all else. If done, and the fluid changes are done, drive on and enjoy!
