Brakes

Was told I need new brakes on my 2003 CL - never been replaced and have over 90k miles. Rear rotors too. Question: I'm thinking of replacing front rotors too. Any idea of approximate cost to replace pads and rotors? Was quoted about $775. Also told I need motor mounts but will wait on that one.

If you do the work yourself and buy cheap parts, you can do the job for less than $100 per axle; if you use premium OEM spec parts, figure a few hundred per axle, then if you use designer parts, figure a few thousand per axle.

Thanks for the reply. I would prefer OEM so a few hundred per axle seems to be in line with my estimate as it includes a brake fluid flush. Thanks again.

Beck Arnley mounts are good and you can go with any pads you please! Rockauto + 5% off coupon code really brings the price down.

Personally, I love EBC brake pads

Akebono ProACT Ultra-Premium Ceramic Pads Akebono ProACT Ultra-Premium Ceramic Pads
are my favorite brake pads.

Acura/Honda brand OEM mounts if you value ride comfort. Yes they're not cheap, but they're the only one's I've found that won't make the car shake.
