Hacksaw, you and I both have the deep green pearl and our VINS are close. Coincidence?
No problem with your Nav responce voice? Mine is in shop right now and I hope it is a simple fix.

When I first read your post, I had to go check. I normally leave it off so as to not be so annoyed with the voice telling me when/where to turn. The voice response works fine in my ride. Sorry to hear that yours is having problems. Have you tried talking nice to it?

8782. Build just completed, still in Ohio. Normally expected to reach dealer (N. Calif.) in 12 days. Normally routed through Port of Long Beach, the dealer says, but they are having delivery problems due to the S. Calif fires. Trucks are stuck in Arizona so arrival could be late.
I'm wondering if this thread will still be active 3 years from now.

VIN 7269.
It was built on 22 October.
They told me 12-14 days to deliver.
It came in Wednesday, 6 days ship time to Florida. I am out of town, I will pick it Saturday morning when they open.
Anthracite/Camel/AT/ No-Nav/ most likely the 18"s if the dealer comes through on the price.
I have had a deposit since Labor Day.

If you aren't picky about color, I'd think you chances of getting one sooner would be pretty good. I could have driven home a AT/Nav three weeks ago if I wanted "Desert Mist". I suppose the situation could be different in Canada.

My Deposit went in a month ago. I have to take a Desert Mist late December or thats it until February next year at the earliest as everything is sold out. That includes trying to trade a car in the entire Province. I really don't care about the colour, but I really would like to avoid a dark interior and black (since I have a black car and never will again). Even so they can't get anything as everyone has bought navi's and only 10% of production are the navi cars. At least I am seeing what problems to look out for.

Jss1: Sounds like fewer TL's are going your way. Can you buy a TL in a different Province? Personally, I'd fly half way across the country before I'd either buy a Desert Mist of wait until February. (Actually, the Desert Mist really isn't bad. Certainly better than most beige/tan/gold/bronze/whatever colors I've seen. Almost silver. Its just not my color.
I got Quartz but Ebony was my second choice. What kind of problems did you have with black interior?

DNA, it'd be funny if this thread were active 3 years from now.
Jss, DAYUM, there's a waiting list that long already? (In Canada anyway?)

Can't get anywhere else, however the dealer is 15 minute walk from me so it does have its benefits. Fortunately I really like the car as the colours are lousy imo. We can't even get green or red here, so its black, white, silver, grey or Desert Mist. If there were more choices I might back away from Desert Mist, but I saw it and its not as bad as everyone thinks. Most of my time will be spent in the car and the parchment if fine. I'm pretty sick of black and really dark colours now after 10 years of cleaning it many times weekly.

I agree about the Desert Mist, as I said in the previous post it is really more of a silver with a bronze/gold tint. I'd think it would be a very practical color and hide dirt better than most other colors.
I don't have any experience with either black or parchment colored leather, but I would think parchment would be harder to keep clean than black. My salesman thought so too (and he had no reason to push me in one direction or the other that I know of).
It seems that TL's are in somewhat better supply in the States than up there. Any theory as to why that might be? Is there greater profit to be made down here?

I think they underestimated the demand for navi's in Canada. Remember this is the first year the option is available here. I have been personally bugging them since 2000 to offer the navi package here, so as soon as it was available everyone who has been waiting for it, like me, all ordered at once and basically wiped out the production availability for the rest of the year. The navi package lists for $44,000 CAD here so I think they are making a substantial profit here too.

the vin ending is the ser# of that model of that car built... so it's the 9348'th model of the 04 Green with Navi.. and there CAN be a 9348 vin, w/o navi, but it will have a few other digits different indicating the options level.
So I have the 259th of the blue navi 5AT.
So you'd have to total all the vin's to get # of cars built.

Say What?
There is only one VIN# 9348!
(At least, one per country!!)
