My TL is officially gone
After a lengthy 4 month transaction with another forum member (TLDream), he finally was able to come pick up my TL today for a long drive back to Oklahoma.
From what I hear he is planning to bring it to the national Acurazine meet this year so any of you who go will be able to see it in person. He's also talking about doing some fun things with the bottom end of the motor
This is a very bittersweet day for me as I have always loved this car and put so much of myself into it over the past 2.5 years. I'm getting a house in return so my family will be happier, which is great, but I am still very sad to see this car go. We went out for lunch today and spent another hour just standing outside looking at the car afterwards.
I took a few final photos next to my BMW:
I still have one keepsake, though .....

It's always sad to let go of a car...I still miss my CL-S to this day.

Glad to see the transaction went through. If you don't mind me asking, why did it take so long? Usually just as easy as getting a loan (usually a check can be had in a couple days), or bring cash, buy a plane ticket and your done :-)
From the first time I spoke to the previous owner of my TL until I had it in my garage was 7 days and he was 740 miles away. I make things happen :-P

The buyer had some hangups as he had an existing loan on another Type-S and his credit union was forcing him to sell that car before they loaned him money for mine. Once his car sold we were in the clear. He sent me ample cash in the meantime as a deposit to the tune of 3k.

Make it so
I am an emotional wreck over this...because I'm sitting here wondering if this means you will disappear off the forums (since you don't have a TL, and all)
I kid (kind of), but no matter what, congratulations on getting it all wrapped up, and on the house purchase- the mark of a good provider is always working to make his family happier, especially in sacrificing other things to make it happen (especially if it involves selling a 3G TL!). TLDream is truly blessed among TL owners

I can't get over how huge the TL looks next to the little 1'er! Sucks you let it go though. You've been a true pioneer and completely selfless when it comes to sharing information on your build. I certainly appreciate your contribution to the performance aspect of this platform!

Congrats. I think you made the right decisions with the family and house and car sale, it's good to see your priorities are right. Most importantly I hope you stick around. I consider you one of the most valued members around here. Plus, what am I going to do without my opposite?
