Don't mean to come across as a internet douche, but that seriously hurt my head trying to read that. I rewrote it for you:

"So I was eating dinner and heard a loud noise from outside. I looked out the window to see if my TL was in its original spot, but it wasn't there. I went outside and noticed that both of my parked cars got hit. The TL got pushed back fifteen feet and my GXP got pushed five feet. A car had run a stop sign and t-boned a truck that ran into both of my cars.

The kid driving the truck got his license three days ago. I feel bad for the poor kid."

Try uploading them to a photo sharing site like imageshack, flickr, etc. After doing that use the insert image icon.

Sorry to hear about your car(s). Hopefully insurance takes care of you.

Damn sorry to hear. Hope everyone involved is safe. That TL definitely looks totaled. The other one seems repairable.

From the pics, they would total out the TL and fix the other one. God that sucks!!!!

My wife's car just got hit being parked in the street. I'll never park in the road ever again!

I wonder how much you could buy the TL back for???? Maybe you could keep it for a grand and part it make some profit out of the situation.

Is it a 5at or 6mt?

If it was parked then hit it should also be covered under comprehensive and your rates will not go up. Regardless, you probably won't lose from this situation.

its the 5 at but i cant see 15k in damages for them to total i was just looking up parts for car and they are really inexpensive. the one thing that does suck is cradle is messed up but theres a shop out here does top notch work so we will see within next few days. ironically i wanted my other car to get hit in front so i can get a few mod upgrades like ram air hood and ccfl headlights lol

They usually total a car if the price to fix it is more than half of the value of the vehicle.

akplaya92 has a point, I had to re-read that several times to comprehend your sentences.

But back to the thread, wow that sucks. Im sure the kid driving the truck is shaken and will never be the same.

Imagine that kids insurance, they have to pay for at least 3 cars, maybe 4.

I bet they will drop him.

Has nothing to do with comprehensive. Comp covers theft, vandalism, fire, flood or other acts of nature; not impact with another moving vehicle. Even if there's an issue with the insurance of the at-fault driver, OP's own collision would cover it, not his comp.

It's usually more in the 75% range, but there are insurance laws which vary by state that often come into play.

Sucks, OP, but hopefully you'll make out ok.

More reasons I'm glad to live nowhere near the city. Shit like that happens all the time! My sister lives in Chicago and said she saw some car driving down the street side swiping every car on the street. She called the cops and they never even showed up. Fuck the city.
Sorry to see BOTH of your cars get mailed. Like others have said the TL is a goner, the GXP should be repairable.

Definitely totaled...

Hope you have GAP insurance...the other drivers insurance company may only agree to give you what the car is worth to them, not what you owe on it necessarily.

Or is this wrong? From my understanding, Gap insurance covers the difference in events like this.

I believe GAP insurance only comes into play when dealing with your own insurance. If the other drivers insurance wont cover all of it, then you can file remainder on your insurance in which case most insurance companies will either fight for you or sue the other insurance company to cover their loss.

man that sucks. i saw just the other day (Friday I think?) I was coming home from the movies and as I was driving by i noticed a car in the grass that had slammed into the pole...turned around and got out and noticed he had slammed into 2 parked cars (Both new BMWs) before going off the road and hitting a tree in the grassway. apparently it had just happened as the people in the car were also getting out at the same time i was pulling up. THey were all fine but it was clear as day the driver was drunk.

i stuck around until the police showed up and they arrested the driver. Not its only a matter of time before i get a court notice to be a witness lol.

Still waiting on cars to get inspected. .. after further looking tl is in better shape then it looks no frame damage to the eye .... my dad rebuilds cars for living says about 9k to fix I owe 15k... the sad part is the gxp is in better condition but parts cost way more they might total it

Like others have said the TL is totaled. I would not expect any insurance company to pay for repairs in excess of half the value. I would actually fight to have it totaled if it is close and just get another TL. Our cars have an aluminum subframe and that part alone is over $1,000. The unibody looks damaged and that is considered frame damage to most body shops/repair facilities and will cause the repair cost to jump significantly. Sorry for your loss...
