That is a lot of happy miles.

sockr1 12-11-2018 02:57 PM

wow, awesome!

nfnsquared 12-11-2018 03:06 PM

There's a thread dedicated to this, why not post there?

Way to rain on his parade!

mhtut83 12-11-2018 04:24 PM

Nice! So my 190K TL is barely broken in then?

Scottwax 12-11-2018 06:05 PM

I'm about 500 miles shy of 250k myself. If I didn't have my G35, I'd be less than 20k behind you.

I was hoping to make 200k in my TL but the transmission had other plans ( died at 193K )

So because my car has a 6-Speed manual it isn't a luxury car?

Calling a TL a luxury car is like wanting to have gray hair... Its like conparing a TL to an ES330 or a Buick!

Does pure luxury wear 235/45 rubber?

TL is luxury, but IMO, I call it TOURING!

Congratulations to OP for making it to 3!

My 2002 530i Sport Package wore 235/45 R17 tires, the exact same size as my TL. Sorry, I call both the TL and the 530i luxury cars in spite of the fact the both had the same size tires and three pedals under the dash.

Luxosport, best of both worlds!

I love that bmw! My father in-law has a 2001 530i sport, black exterior tan interior. Looks so good!

OP, that’s amazing! Glad to see the TL with so many miles and still going strong.

My lady has a 2002 BMW 530i with manual tranny, and my TL is definitely faster!
I can still do 0-60 in under 6 seconds.

Yeah, no question my TL is quicker than my 530i; fuel economy is about identical. Both cars have iconic/timeless looks. :)

Ya, to me the TL is plenty fast. Around where I live there isn't much room to open it up. I would take less torque steer though.

I don't remember; do you have an Automatic model or one with the 6MT? I really have to try to invoke torque steer on my 6MT model (which has a mechanical LSD).

Helps with regular synthetic oil changes!

strange my signature is gone.
Ya manual. Must have hit a wet spot the other day. I played more with it today and you’re right. Straight line on the dry it’s not too bad, but out of a corner you gotta hang on to that wheel.
