Keep the TL. I've driven some new Maximas and I'm not really impressed. While it looks better than the last model, it still feels clunky and cheap.

i would keep the tl if i were in ur shoes and not having any major problems with the car. i personally do not like the look of the new maxima at all, and i know if i were to trade my tl for it, i would regret it on the drive home from the dealer.

Tl has been a great car but it is 6 years old but the technology in cars has come a long way and some damn kia's have more options than my tl.

understood but for 38k i would be looking at something other than a maxima. if u wanna jump into the nissan family y not the infiniti g? or if ur staying acura the shawd tl?

38k is very steep for a maxima IMO

If you are going to spend that much money for a Nissan you might as well get the G. Just a thought.

Trade in for a 07/08 TL with Navi and keep w/e mods you can for the new TL? What options are you looking for in the newer cars than the TL doesn't have or are you simply getting bored of the TL look? =(

i think you'd be trading it in for no reason other than to throw money away. Besides the new max's look like altima's, they all look sub luxury.

The Maxima is a horrible car. I've driven it, the steering is to stiff, the thing feel like it weighs over 5k pounds, and the thing has horrible gas mileage.

If I had to trade in my car it would be for a Exige or a Genesis 2 door Coupe or Type-S. Love the new/old 5.0 Mustangs, but still hate the look.

If you really do love the TL, I would use your extra money to mod the car to make it unique. Different headlights, suspension, turbo charger, or you can do something out of the ordinary for our cars and do carbon fiber roof, hood, side mirrors, etc...

Let's assume your car is paid off. Let's also assume you'll get $10k on a trade in. $28k for a navi ipod doc and cooled seats seams pretty steep. If you just want more "options", you can do a lot of mods for a fraction of that.

Having said that, some people just want change. I agree with others when they say get the G over the Maxima. I probably won't be in the market for another year and half but if I wanted something now, the VW GTI would be on the top of my list.

Hmmmm, ask if you should keep your TL on an Acura forum. No surprise as to the answers, eh?
I agree with the poster who said the new Maxima's favor the Altima. I'm with the others, get an Infiniti. My wife has an FX35 and it is a very squared away vehicle!! One fast kid hauler......

The new Maxima's don't have any new features that you don't already have, I'd opt for the G37 coupe instead. My brother has the new Maxima and the interior lights are orange, which become quite bothersome at night.

Someone recommended going from the TL to the Genesis, and after having owned both, there isn't a big reason to switch. The interior on both cars are about the same, and they have about the same tech. A bit more power and RWD are the only significant differences.

I wouldn't get a Maxima, kind of a downgrade from a TL. New Maximas look good from some angles but drives more like a boring old Lexus. I would definitely look at the G37 or the new M37, if not the new TL. Sad but true, currently Lexus/Acura do not have the best car to perform under the TL/IS emblem.

Nice whip! However, I can understand your need to move on. 7 years is about the time shit starts to break (tranny, pumps, seals etc.). If you can hold out till mid year 2011, the 4G MMC TL will be out with better looks and more features. It is a hot car that is still afordable and fit for a family.

I know what you mean. I have to use a cassette adapter for my MP3 player, but my 20 year old niece can plug her MP3 player right to the radio in her Scion XD, XB what ever the car is called LOL. I've been thinking about getting rid of my TL too, or maybe getting a newer one.

You would need at least 320cHP to beat a Genesis and I'm 100% sure you don't.

How did this turn into a Genesis v. TL thread? I even said in my post that the TL to Genesis isn't really an upgrade.

As for which car is faster, that wasn't the topic of discussion, the OP was/is considering a four door sedan to replace his TL with.

My recommendation, get a G Sedan.
