Maintenance Minder History

Hello,

First post here, but long time reader.

1) Since I first got the car (08 TL), I had oil changes done every time the maintenance minder would show up a code, and a couple of times the mechanic would reset my maintenance minder before I had a chance to write down the code and check for the list of items to be checked.
Therefore it's possible I may have missed a few items, and I would like to know if there is a way to have a log of all the codes that have showed up in the past

2) I am assuming #1 is not possible, the best next thing would be to get a log from a few people that own a 08 TL, have some owners shared such comprehensive data here? If not, have some of you recorded the various codes along with the corresponding mileage and would be willing to share?

3) More precisely, I am interested in codes containing '3' (ATF replacement, codes such as A3, B3, A13, B13...). I have read different theories on how often to change the fluid, but I wanted to know what maintenance minder recommends

Thanks!

Thanks, but not really, I know how to match a maintenance code with the list of items to be done, my problem is that I don't know which codes have showed up until now

Acura's recommendation on ATF replacement is at 60K, then 30K increments thereafter. If you've read anything here, you'll know that the 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches are something that most of us replace to prevent long shifts and transmission wear, and more frequent AFT changes are recommended (and relatively easy and inexpensive). You can decide what ATF you believe is best for your circumstances--there are many valid opinions.

I've recorded every single MID cue since new until the last oil change. i'm only at 57k+ miles on my 05, but i have a 6MT. i've only had A/B by itself or paired with a 1 or a 2.

I have the last 2 codes for my 09 MDX and the one with the "3" was an A13 at just over 30k miles. the last code was a B1 just short of 36k.

Thanks for your answer; From the owner's manual, I believe the recommendation you mention is in case you drive in mountainous areas, etc... Otherwise, the recommendation is simply to follow the maintenance minder.

I don't want to restart a debate I have read many times here about how often ATF should be changed (I have ready anything from every 10k miles to 100k+), I really just want to know when the maintenance minder is recommending that particular maintenance to most people.

interesting, thanks!
Is your 09 MDX auto or manual?

If anybody with a TL has this kind of records too, that would be awesome!

dude...MDX is automatic...always will be.

i know the A/B codes alternate. the intersting thing is based on my mileage for the MDX the MID coded for a tire rotation each time, while the TL was every other code or every 3rd code (IIRC-i'd have to check my spreadsheet). my intervals are shorter for the TL usually 4k miles when the car was DD. the MDX has been getting between 5-6k so far for the same given commuting routes.

next code for the MDX: A16 w/ 42k+ miles (guessing the mileage...i'm at 40%)...

i know this isn't TL specific, but should give some idea of some trends.
