LED Foglights for 07 08 3G TL

Hey guys! I've been on the forum for a while and have found A LOT of useful info, just never got around to posting anything. Anyways, I've been searching around the forum on my most recent question and cannot seem to find a straight answer. My question is: in order to use LED fog lights in my 08, will I need to buy some sort of resistor or decoder in order for them to function properly? Some treads say I do need them, some say I don't so I'm just trying to set the record straight! Thanks in advance!

As far as I know decoder makes the LED not flicker, while turn on/off and in use. I plan on swapping to LED soon and not get it, if they flicker I’ll buy the decoder.

Okay cool man, thanks for the reply  Let me know how it goes without the decoder! By any chance, do you have a link to the bulbs you plan on buying?

You do not need any harness or resistor or decoder. Just plug and play. I have Nighteye LEDs and they're incredible. They are very cheap too, and I will always recommend it when it comes to LED bulbs.

I've never seen a thread where someone said you needed a decoder/resistor for the fog lights.
Don't get yourself confused with DRL LEDs which DO require a harness.

I plan on getting it from flyryde.com. They have switchback fog lights from 3k yellow to 6k white. I like my yellows but wanted to match my headlights white. I seen these as thought they’re bright and only a couple bucks more than the endless rpm xtreme fogs but I’ll get both colors, pretty dope.

HOw do switchback fogs work?

Guitarplayer can you post some pics of these on your car?
Im curious as to how bright they are....not looking for something so bright that it distracts people from the rest of the car.
Also, hows the color temp and color match to the OEM Philips headlight bulbs?

Thanks!

LED and HID color will never be match, as LED either come in bright white or warm white and a lot of aftermarket LED go with cool white.

I got a couple set of Option 7 Flux beam that they work perfectly, one even still work after my fog light housing is full of water. Here is a pic from my RL that has CBI bulbs and LED fog, in person the headlight looks more yellow than the fog light.

The bulbs he's referring to turns white when you turn it on, then when you turn it off and then on again, they turn yellow, then off and on again they turn back to white.

I'll have to take pics tonight

truonghthe is right though, it's not a perfect match to our projector headlights.
I installed the same fog bulbs for my parents RDX and it matches beautifully thanks to the jewel eyes, i'll look for that pic too!
