The "leather smell"...does 3G TL have any?
I have noticed my 3G TL does not have a leather smell. Our BMWs have a rich luxurious smell of leather and so does Lexus.
My TL smells plasticy. :P

But when you got your 3G TL new did you not have a leather smell? Or was it a plasticy smell? I used meguiars leather lotion and the car smells even worse now!

when i got mine after 1 week of being in the body shop it smelled like paint....now my car just smells like leather and i didnt even apply any leather conditioner

i don't think so. and if they did, i would guess it would only be the 3 series because those are the least expensive out of the rest of the bmw lineup.
but i'm pretty sure bmws and mbenz and audis have real leather compared to our acuras
. could be wrong.
but my car smells good. i got 2 smooth cologne air fresheners under my seat, 1 in my cup holder, and i clean the seats about twice a month using "Meguiars - Leather Cleaner & Conditioner"
car has 42k miles and smells "new"

I know at least the 3 has it, and I remember reading the perforated leather on your Acura is real, the side bolsters are pleather. It's something

I told the guy at the dealership whats the best leather cleaner for my car he reply u dont need leather cleaner ur car doesnt have leather.. -.0 i have a 08 tl type s was he wrong?

First thing that this thread made me think of was this quote:

Anyway, I use the Zaino cleaner and conditioner also. It has a very pleasant leathery scent. However, after a day or so, the oem leather scent overpowers the Zaino and it smells like a new car again. I like that.
