Keyfob Remote Control

Hey guys, I am sorry if this has been discussed already but could not find anything about it. I just got my TL last week and my keyfob remote control is already beat up and scratched up. When people see it there like "how old is your car, like 2 or 3 years". I only have my car, office and home keys on the chain and I don't throw it around. Is anyone else having this problem. I know it's nature for a keyfob to get beat up, but mine is pretty bad.

Also does Acura even offer a Keyfob with the actual key all together like VW or something or is there an aftermarket part?

Thanks guys

I just traded in my '03 Accord for a new TL yesterday. The Accord keyfob was built into the key. I wish this was the case with the TL. I now have two keyfobs (TL & Odassey), two car keys, house key, club key and my chain is a mess. I might have to buy a bigger ring.

Oh well, you can't have everything.

My keyfob is only a month old and it already looks sandblasted.

If Acura does come out with a new keyfob for the 06 models I wonder if they can be programmed for the current models.

We are buying in june or july, so close, but still not 06. Even though I am the kid I have the semi-final say, and I dont think its worth not having the car for another 5 months, especially since my dad may take me down to DC and up to maine this summer. The only way I would wait for the 06 would be if it had SH-AWD, which is a guaranteed NO.

Whew...'05! haha. Mine is pretty beat up also!! I'm guessing all you have to do is order that and then go to the dealership and have them cut it and program it? Is it cheaper to have the dealer do this or have the heeltoeauto place do this?

Easiest way is to call your dealership.
