Just traded my '07 TL for a '07 KBP TL-S :-)
I only had my NBP TL for 2 months and was kickin myself for not getting a Type S the entire time. The other day I was browsing autotrader killing time and a local dealership had a 07 KBP S only 3 miles away. I went to look at it and now its sitting in my garage. So far I love it the biggest difference so far is the brakes...HUGE difference! It obviously is a little faster.
Just curious does anyone have build numbers for 07 TL's? What does everyone recommend running for motor oil in them? I usually use mobile one synth with either a Honda filter or Mobile one filter.
I just got it today and then had to work so I will be posting pics very shortly.
-and I just saw in another post advanced auto has their mobile one sale going again looks like thats what I will do.

GO with Castrol Synthetic you'll love it... Use Honda or Mugen Filter if you want... most TLers recommend Mobile, I'm using K&N...

Another question, my 07 base TL did not have the body side moulding however my TL-S does. Im thinking that I like the look much better with no moulding. Anyone know if the side moulding is easily removable with a heat gun or somethin? I did this once on my older 00 Accord and it pretty much peeled right off hopefully it is that easy on the S.

Side molding? That must have been installed as an option, my TLS does not have any side body molding. Your best bet is to start pulling very carefully and hope there's no drilled body clips holding it on. First I'd call the dealer and ask the service people about it.

Just a little faster? Are you sure? I've notice is way faster... I've never owned a regular TL, my friend does and it's a huge difference.

No the car is automatic. As much as I love stick I wanted my daily driver to be auto. I have had three Corvettes (99 Hardtop, 03 Electron Blue Z06, and a 05 C6) all of which were stick.
Speaking of my 03 Electron Blue Z06 that color seems SOOOOOO close to Honda's Kinetic Blue Pearl.
Here is a picture of my Z06 has anyone compared these colors in person??
To bad I still dont have the Z along with the KBP TL-S now. That would have been sweet.

Here are a couple quick poor quality pics I snapped earlier. I will get some real nice SLR pics in a day or two once I have time off from work to do my full exterior detail.
I also removed the side moulding this morning. Came off very easily didnt leave any marks and now IMO looks much better.

Congratulations on your trade! KBP is a terrific color. Not too many down here in Atlanta, GA. Really enjoy my 07 KBP with black and silver interior. RLTW!

Yeah its only 30hp but the more I drive the TL-S the more difference I seem to notice. Since I have had both an 07 base and now an 07 TL-S I can say they really do seem like different cars. Handling, braking, acceleration are all very different.

pretty sure the perforated leather is standard on the type S. not positive though. i've got it in my NBP 08 type S.
