Just got a '08 Type-S...

What's up everybody,

I just scooped up a 2008 TL Type-S and wanted to see what kind of options were out there to make it a little bit different that others out there.

I don't want to do anything super crazy, and most cosmetic type upgrades. Obviously headlights are an option... I like the Halo look. I'd also like a set that's actually glass instead of plastic b/c of the hazing. I also like the look of the roof spoilers.

Anything suggestions or whatever would be cool.

Thanks!!
Dan

I hear what you're saying, but back in the day all headlights were made of glass... cracking was never really an issue, plastic is just cheaper. They're already stating to get that hazy look, but if I were to get a new set, UV protectant is a good call. Thanks Jeff!!

Welcome, Dan!

Window tint and the A-Spec kit are must haves.

It's an automatic. I do miss driving a stick from time to time but it is nice just driving.

No doubt... tint is ALWAYS the first thing you do. Luckily it came tinted so I don't have to do that. But do I make it darker??? Ha!

I'll have to look into that a-spec kit. Thanks!

You are right 2 of my vehicles have glass headlights and no issues with fading but IF you were to find a set in glass for the TL I can almost expect it would be cost prohibitive, depending on your budget, to acquire these.

As suggested get the top headlight restore kit and make sure you put the UV protectant when complete and/or film.

Congrats and welcome!

Congrats on the car. its a really clean car. Paint and interior is surprisingly clean and you can tell its well taken care of. only reason i didn't get it is because he was asking way more than its fair value. by the time i was going to call him up again he called me and said you bought it.

Right on!! I have friends in Bensalem... I'm there quite often.

Yeah it's really clean. I did my research and though a little high, I'm ok with what I paid (plus what I got for my trade-in)
