Yeah I had the same problem and I sent IJDMTOYS the link to this thread and also emailed them detailed pics of the problem I had and pics of the parts needed to fix it.

It was an easy fix for me because I had just ordered a fog light relay kit and didn't use the connectors for the bulbs since I have HID's but wanted to run them through a relay due to flickering issues.

Once I swapped the connector on the ijdmtoy harness to the correct connector for the 9005 bulbs they plugged right up.

If you have a problem with the bulbs swap them sides and they should work.
If not then you have a wiring issue. Run 2 wires off the battery straight to the bulb and check the bulbs that way.
If bulbs work check your wiring.

I jacked up a 6k bulb but I had already planned on ordering the same as machine, the 5k off ebay.

I will dig for the pics but I followed chips write-up here without a hitch except the bulb.

See how the bulb has 2 slots and the connector has 1 slot. The ijdm connector has 1 slot and bulb 2 slots.
The connector you need will have 2 slots. They can be found pretty easy but its still a pain in the ass. Or you can file of the tabs on the bulb connector to get it to work for now and have them ship you new bulbs or buy new bulbs.

I am not defending jdmtoy by any means and you should make them foot the bill. Just stating my experience.

Either way to get them to fit snug and click into place you will need the right connector on wire side as the new bulbs are going to have the 2 slots. You WILL have to find a connector for the 9005 bulb (or 9006 can't remember which. I believe its 9006 higher number for low beam)
But you get the point.

As far as your fogs. Thats another issue.

well, the guys at ijdmtoy were excellent to work with, I am sending them back both set of bulbs (fogs and drls) and they are sending me back some slimmer bulbs. Now I will just redo the wiring and give it a go. I'll check back in a couple weeks with results/pics. Thanks for the help everyone.

anyone know how to get LED DRLs working in an 07-08 TL? I installed the 6 LED version from v-leds and they work only if i only have one in, i read it's a problem with the voltage in the UA7 DRLs but has anyone found a simple fix that maybe i can put together a radio shack?

I got the relay kit from iJDMtoy, it was around $25. You might be able to piece the kit together if you are familiar with electronics and wiring, but I can't be of much help there...

THAT SUCKS!

Will this void my warranty?

No unfortunately you can't just buy the bulbs and plug them into the factory wiring. The LED bulbs require less voltage to operate. So if you just plug them into the factory wiring only a few LED's on the tree will light up, if any at all. You need the relay harness for these to work properly.

And no I don't think this will void your warranty. Since it's plug and play anyway, if something were to happen, which I highly doubt it would, you could just take the kit off and put your halogen bulbs back in and then get the car fixed. But you should be perfectly fine using the kit without any issues.

Ok, went to wire the drls last night and no luck. The bulb fit this time, but I followed the instructions And still got no lights. I know it not the bulbs because these are different bulbs. I will post some pics of my wiring but I am baffled and feel like a complete idiot.

I've read a bunch of stuff here but I can't find a solution to my problem. I run a 2010 TSX and I got the LED DRL kit from iJDMtoy, hooked it all up and neither of the lights work. I just get the DRL error message..

Shouldn't it be a simple plug and play?

[QUOTE=The Machine;13689906][COLOR=Black]I recently bought the ijdmtoy LED DRL kit seen here: http://store.ijdmtoy.com/9005-LED-Da...d_sku45_r3.htm
It was a pretty straight forward install even though it didn't come with any instructions, so I figured I would do a little write up for anyone looking to buy the kit and install it.

I used this video as a reference even though it's the V-Leds kit, but the ijdmtoy kit is very similar.

Here is a picture of the ijdmtoy kit laid out:

It is simple plug and play, but you have a TSX. The kit is meant for the TL. Maybe that is what is causing your issue?

That's odd the video is like that now. But I only posted the video as an extra helping tool. My step by step write up is the exact same as what the video showed. IMO, I think I actually went into a little more detail than the video did. Just follow the steps I wrote and you should be just fine.

Judging from the picture, the kit looks exactly like the ones you would find on ebay for a lot cheaper. I don't know maybe its me, not trying to bash.

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/9005-HB3-LED-...2b912c&vxp=mtr

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/1x-Xenon-HID-...e27f86&vxp=mtr

Also wanted to point out, I was going through this thread, found the pic below and if you look closely at the relay it even says "HID" just like the one in the ebay link above.

You may be able to hook up HID's to this relay harness and run them as DRL's. However, the housing they are going in is not very big, nor really made to handle an HID bulb, so I don't know how well it will take the heat that an HID gives off. You could potentially melt something.

okay the stupid ass picture url is not working, but I got it to work and it looks awesome!!!

the only concern I have is that I don't know if I tightened the bulb in all the way. When I had to remove the bulb it took a lot of force to take it out, and when I put in the new bulb with LEDs it went in and I turned it, and i thought it was okay, but then when I checked again it seemed a little loose. the left one I think is in all the way, and the right seems like its in...anyway to find out if the bulb is in properly? what happens if its not i think it may have went into the wrong slot or something and its impossible to see since the battery is in the way on the right side and the engine is in the way on the left...

If you want to post pics, you need to have a site like photobucket host your photos. Then you copy the IMG file and paste it here.

Secondly, yes the stock halogen bulbs are in there pretty tight and it's usually kinda tough to get the LED bulbs in correctly the first try. The connection should still be tight though when they are put in correctly and turned all the way. You can usually tell if they are not in properly because the bulb will be cocked in one direction or the other or facing donward too much, instead of directly facing you. Should be very easy to tell when you look directly at the bulb through the housing. Of course one way to make sure you have the bulb in correctly if you are not sure, is to remove the headlight and put the bulb in, but ain't nobody got time for that, lol.

okay ill upload a pic of how the bulb looks and maybe you guys can tell me if its not in properly.

Lets say it rains alot, will water get down in there and ruin my headlights or electrical connections?!

I even tried using one of those mirror tools but impossible to tell... I think i'll take out my battery and that way I would be able to see if its in there...

No, even if the bulb was not seated properly water shouldn't be getting into anywhere to ruin anything, unless you plan on driving into a lake, lol.

The bulbs are tucked pretty well under there so if you can't get the bulb in properly by just using your hand and bending down and looking through the front of the lens, then you may need to take the battery out. That was the toughest side to get in properly for me as well since there isn't a lot of room for the hand and arm to move around.

Neither. Grab the ijdmtoy harness only and go to VLEDs and buy the 10 XB 9005 LED rated @ 850 lumens. You can choose 5k or 6k.

here's a thread to the 6 XB led versions rated @ 725 lumens.

The thing you have to remember is with the iJDMtoy kit versus the ebay kit when it comes to the DRL's though is that the jdm kit comes with the resistor boxes inline.
That is what eliminates the drl indicator on the dash. The ebay "relay kit" does not have those resistor boxes.

Also if you have a bulb or both bulbs not working. Try switching them to the other side. Sometimes with LED's they only work on one side. Or flip them around like with the interior lights.

This looks like it may work but I have no experience. For the DRL

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/1x-Xenon-HID-...d=473111308227

This would be what you would purchase for the HID fog light kit.

Having some trouble getting mine working. tested both bulbs and they are both good. My harness is different than the OPs as it already has everything inline and the harness is one piece (got mine from iJDMToy too).

Hooked everything up just as I did with my HID fog lights harness and it's not working.

I just made a short video showing how I have everything hooked up. My kit (The R3 option from iJDMToy) is a little different than the ones that I have seen in this thread in that I already had the resistors inline rather than having to attach them to the harness. Hoping someone can look over this for me and see if anything sticks out that I could be doing wrong. I have no clue at this point.

Spoke with iJDM about the issue and they said that because my resistors are not getting hot to the touch at all that it's likely an issue with the harness that they sent me. I have everything wired up correctly. He told me that they recently changed the design of everything for our harnesses because customers were modifying the old designs and voiding the warranty so they wanted to mitigate the possibility of that happening. I have to return my old unit and and they are going to send me a new one. Of course I have to buy a new unit and wait for it to be shipped from Cali to Ohio which sucks but nothing I can do.

Just installed this last week. Every thing works perfect with no codes. My harness does look a bit different than the original tho
