Looking good sauceja. The DRL's with the switch backs looks great, and that fog light mod makes for a winning combination. How hard was that mod to do? I think I might get some hid fogs again at some point, and when I do I would like to do that mod.

It wasn't bad. Followed this thread:
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/g-029-diy-07-08-3g-tl-independent-hid-fog-lights-stock-switch-798978/

No more indicator on the dash either. And I do not have a drl code. I just got done driving it and its nice.

Led DRL are enough to see they are on in day. Works for me. I don't like DRL anyway.
Lights are a little too blue for me still. I may have to switch down to 5k switchback, drl and D2S.

The D2S @ 6k seem more blue then the 8K I took out

The zkw-r lenses make a difference though.

Looks good sauceja! You really went to great lengths to hide the resistors, but I guess I would have done the same thing if the bumper and other parts were removed. Yeah the bulbs with the kit are on the 6k side. I have a set of white 5k DRL bulbs. I have yet to switch them out to see what style I like better on my car though. So for now I left the 6k bulbs in, just cause I hate the aggravation of getting the driver side bulb out.

I used to not care. But now I like stealth mode mods. I want it to work not be noticed.

Your right though I would have done it differently if everything was still in place. But I was waiting on headlights anyway. Been in the works for a couple months so I kinda planned on doing it all at once. Definately worth it.

And I got to drive my car last night for the first time in over a month so I am a happy happy man.

Well I switched my 6k bulbs out to the 5k ones. I feel as though too much is going on color wise up front with the 6k bluish DRL's, Yellow 3k HID fogs, and stock headlights. I wanted to go for a more clean look. I'll post some pics later tonight once its dark out.

I took 2 while doing it. One pic has the 5k in and the 6k in. The other has just the 5k in. I got my 5k ones off of ebay before I even bought the DRL kit, the seller was vision-technology they were 9005/HB3 White 68 SMD bulbs.

Sure bud, I'll take some tomorrow. They are super white at night and look awesome! The pics during the day were kinda close and I was facing the sun. I have never had a problem with that seller and I've bought a couple things from them recently.

Ok here are the night pics. For some reason they still seem a little bluish in the picture, but trust me they are super bright white. My camera is only a point and shoot so I can't really make the pics any clearer as far as the blur around the lights goes, but these are just to give you guys an idea of how the 5k looks.

Still look blue but more 6k blue then 8k blue.

I think I would like those 5k's better. Gonna try and do some driving next week and honestly If my park lights are on my Hids's are on. The DRL are my I don't care about these lights lights but I didn't want that dull look during the day.

Those look good though.

Trust me they are bright white. My camera is only a Canon Powershot so the pics do come out giving a bluish tint for some reason, but in person they are super white. I think you'll be happy if you buy 5k white DRLs. Take a look at my day shots below.

No problem! I think you'll be just fine. They looked the exact same way as the bulbs that come with the iJDMtoy kit. That's why I got them mixed up when I was putting them in the car originally and just stayed with the 6k cause the driver side bulb was a pain to get in properly.

Yeah now that you show those pics I remember reading and seeing those before.

Just placed a bid haha. Gonna try and save 2.00.

I did get a response back from ijdmtoy and need to send pics to get my broke light replaced. I just don't wanna take it out and put it back in. Wanna do it once.

No, the one from ijdmtoy. I went to their store directly when I was in the area to purchase them. They had swapped out the decoder once too but still no luck. Problem is I lost my receipt now and can't return or exchange so i'm out of luck i guess.

Well the bulbs from ebay aren't expensive at all if you have to replace a bulb that burned out. I am using the ones from ebay and they look nice. I have the 6k iJDMtoy bulbs just sitting around now and probably won't use them again, if you're looking to stay with that color I can sell you mine?

If they don't work. Check grounds. Check power, check fuse check all wiring. If a ijdmtoy fault I am sure they will work to get it fixed. I just want 5k bulbs and should have them by end of week.

I love my headlights by AckTL05 the cutoff is amazing. I <3 my setup after 5k DRl bulbs come in.

Looking good fellas...thanks for sharing!
Since I'm running the DRL module, and can never make up my mind if I feel like running them or not, I wired up a switch back into cabin so I can kill the yellow DRL's whenever I want. Especially since I don't like the parking light switchback on with the yellow DRL.

I have the lamin-x and just 1 layer with 3k fogs. If you have greenish then you must be running 6k or higher fogs.

I had 8ks and it was greenish. I hated it. Once I installed the 3k's fell in love immediately.

I like this setup now.

The new setup looks great sauceja! I'm looking forward to the night shots! The fogs do look a little greenish in the pics, but they may look like that if he took the pics before they were fully warmed up. I have the TRS kit and I have 3k bulbs and yellow fog overlays and I noticed they give off that greenish color when they are warming up.

How many of you guys have just bought this kit from ijdmtoy and run your own bulbs without issues? http://store.ijdmtoy.com/LED-Daytime...decoder-01.htm

I have the 6k drl kit from v-leds but it doesn't work. Got a new relay and harness from them and neither worked. I'm wondering if I should give it a shot with the harness and resistors that ijdmtoy sells and try my v-led bulbs with it.

This is the direct link to the kit you should buy from iJDMtoy if you think of going with them, http://store.ijdmtoy.com/9005-LED-Da...d_sku45_r3.htm

And you can use whatever bulbs you want to put in whether they are from V-Leds or ebay as long as they are a 9005 bulb.

i've had this kit from ijdmtoy installed for a while now with no problems but all of a sudden the passenger bulb was dimming while the car is running. it will start out normal and then dim. this will continue to happen going back and forth from normal and dim.

Please let me know if anyone has any advice on how to solve this issue.

Hmm, very interesting. I don't know a ton about the wiring in general or a lot about LED's and how they work to know what would make it do something like that since the car is sitting still and nothing is moving around. Could the harness be going bad and not supplying enough power at those given moments since the problem is intermittent? Have you tried switching the bulbs to see if that may be the issue? Unless someone can chime in that really know their stuff, I would suggest contacting iJDMtoy and maybe asking their input on the situation.

I know ijdmtoy has that package but was wondering if the link I provided was the exact harness and resistors used for it. I prefer not to buy the bundle since I already have the bulbs from the v-leds kit and it wouldn't make sense to buy another pair that I have no use for. The price for the harness and resistors is about $28, choosing option R3 as it is specific to 07-08 TL-S and the price for the bundle is about $65.

How are your resistors doing? I'm kind of skeptical on using double sided tape on them since they get so hot. I wouldn't want the tape to melt.

Also, on my drivers side I was able to hook up black to black... Passenger side red to black. Works fine for me
