Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love this car. But if I could change only one thing about it it, that would definitely be the RANGE. Going a max of 240-280 miles on a tank of gas in a luxury sedan is a tad silly. Let me be clear, I'm not talking about mileage here. I actually think the mileage for this car given its size and engine power is quite respectable (I'm averaging 24mpg). My gripe is strictly with the tank size.
Looks like they've upped the size on the new TL's & TSX's to 18.5, but that still seems low as comparable vehicles in this price range have tank sizes into the 20's. Afterall, this a luxury sedan and it would be nice to have the luxury of not having to visit a gas station more than once a week.

I've traveled between 400-450 miles on the highway at 65- 70 mph. I think the range is just fine.

range is perfect...doing all highway at 65-70 mph i get 505 miles to a tank (when the car stopped )
usually i get 400-450 miles to a tank traveling 70% highway and 30% city/spirited driving....

I like turtles
Interior rattles FTL on this car. Being as anal as I am about things like that, I probably would not have bought the car if I knew the interior was going to rattle as much as my Jeep does.
But hey, you learn to live with it I guess

Well, you're in luck. A new ECU will be coming out that will let you do traditional "hot rod" mods.

Also, there is a check valve in the slave cylinder. if you remove the valve, shifting will be a little easier.

I miss the klackin' of a diesel, but the weight would kill this thing.
I see I'm not the only one that misses a trunk open button on the trunk!
RWD goes without saying. I hate torque steer!!!!!!!
An oil filter larger than my riding mower, but I guess it does the job......
A solid moon roof, no glass. In Texas in the summer, you have to tilt it up to vent heat. The glass adds heat, but you can't slide the cover closed and vent the heat. Duh!
Also, as an aside, the tilted moonroof on my Mercedes vented the heat wonderfully. Made a 30 degree difference in summer, from 140 down to 110 degrees. We'll see what the TL does this summer, but a weird note: For some reason with the TL moonroof tilted, all manner of grass and leaves and "stuff" end up inside the car. Hardly anything in the Mercedes. Body shape maybe????
