I got the mod itch
Hello fellow AcuraZiner's. I have owned my 06 TL for little over two years now. It's been stock for most of that period until recently. I just had some Tein SA coilovers installed. Now, I'm looking at doing an 07-08 Base front end conversion and picking up some Volk CE28N wheels. As, the title of this thread indicates, the mod itch has gotten me. This car is my daily driver.
I had a clean mystic blue E46 M3 before selling it a few years ago. Now, I'm currently looking for an FD RX7 for my "fun" car. Any who, this forum has been very helpful for me as a new owner. Thanks to all who contribute.

The itch that you can never fully scratch. I used to long for an FD so bad. I think I may still get one some day but for right now it isnt in the cards for me. I had an FC for about six years. If I ever did get the FD I would take it all the way down to the chassis and build it back up. It would be a garage project for sure.
Post up some pics of your TL. I am keeping mine stock I guess, I am looking to trade it in for a WRX hopefully. More mod friendly than the TL platform. I had the mod bug bad with my old accord. Custom made my own turbo setup, full twin loop exhaust, AEM wideband, and honestly the TL I have now is just as fun after all of that.

Those Volks will look good, plenty of threads on here to help get the right offset and stance. I actually have an FB project. You got pics of the M3? I love those cars why did you sell it if I may ask? The FDs are great too and are really holding their value

The FD is such a beautiful car. You have good taste. I will try to post some pics of my TL today. The car was lowered to the tire. So there is no gap. The handling has improved a lot. I think it looks pretty clean. The lines on the TL are nice.
I have some old photos of my M3 that I will post later today. My M3 was in perfect running condition and in immaculate shape. I sold it because I wanted to start saving money to buy a house/condo. So Cal living is expensive!

I hear ya on buying a house. I know CA is crazy expensive to live there, but you guys have awesome weather/lots of cool stuff to do/its beautiful.
I am running 18 x 8.75 +20 and recently got 225/40/18 tires with rolled rear fenders only, lowered and no rubbing issues for the most part. My old 235/40/18 would rub with 4 adults in the car on hard bumps or turns. I think you will be ok with the +30, just make sure you clear your brembos, certain wheel designs need a low offset

I owned the TL and the M3 at the same time. I drove the M3 on the weekends and occasionally on the weekdays. It was my fun car and the TL is my daily driver. I do miss it. But I will get something else to replace it.

@foxrider I dont think it looks bad dude. That is a good middle ground if it is your daily driver. Some people wouldnt even know its not stock but probably drives way better.
@OP you are doing it right though if you have an auto. No sense in putting power mods on it. Looks and suspension all the way.

In the news the other day a house sold for $1.17 mil over their asking price. It's 80 years old. 11 offers, all cash deals, no subjects. Sold for $9.05 mil. That shit cray... My house out in the burbs is over a million and it's nothing special.
Vancity is second most expensive city to live in!

Bimmers and Benzs are commoner cars. International students drive Mclarens to school, Maseratis to drop off kids at school, Lambos as daily drivers... Cray, cray, cray. I have a house in the burbs, 2 acuras and a BMW and it's like I'm poor in this city. Assessment says I'm a millionaire but we struggle to put the kids in daycare, mortgage payments, cost of living!!! No wonder my mod itch will never get scratched. Argh!!!

Sorry for jacking the thread OP. No more from me. Love your set up. Wish I had extra coin.

But it's all relative. I'm still paying $1 mil not $750K. Exchange rates don't play a part in housing. It's not like because of the exchange rate I make 33% more income. I make less than the comparable American but pay out way more. Just saying it sucks right now but we're ahead of the game. Wish I had leftover money for rims and rubber. Oh to be in my twenties again!
