HPT Option

On the TSX board, we just received confirmation the HPT option is truly tires only.

I was hoping for bigger rims and a sport suspension... Oh well...

235/45/17. I was really hoping for 18"'s. I was in for the HPT option, but am now out because it is only tires.

I really thought it would have 18" wheels, Brembo brakes and a sport suspension. I guess I was the sucker.

I'm sure thats being reserved for the Type S. We'll have to wait for the RL/Legend to come out next spring before a TL Type S.

MY GOD!

PEOPLE GET OVER IT!!

There will be no more Type-S's for Acura..

Acura stated this, and so did Justin from A-TSX..

He said that they are gonna stop soon after RSX-S is done!

So dont even think about any more type-s's, there will be no more..

Life goes on... Maybe the 02-03 Type-S will become a collector car.

Sounds to me like the TL-S mods are all incorporated on the 2004 TL-P plus they're adding some new stuff. I also think they are trying to price the TL into the luxury class and leave the mid-level market to the TSX. I guess we'll see if/when the price goes over 35K on the '04.

Just tires? I guess they learned about how bad the stock TL tires are!

Perhaps, but for a company that really offers no options (outside of navi) give me something I cannot buy on my own like ventilated seats, power tilt-wheel, intelligent key system, etc.

As I was told, the HPT package will be called The HP package, and does anybody besides me think that it's rediculous to have a different name for option that only include High performane tires???
My dealer said that the HP package might include 18Inch. wheels similar to what the NSX has.
But, for some reason, I believe it'll be more than that, I doubt that the difference will be in the engine, but at least the body edges or anything like that.
Because we don;t want to have something like the RSX, when you can't tell the difference between the premium RSX and RSX type S unless you take a look in the back.

We dont even know if HPT is gonna be a option or what, for all we know HPT could be a Code name, and all Acura Offers is performance Tire Upgrade for 6 Speed People..

I mean you cant speculate anything at the moment, Just wait 2 weeks, all the info will be out

The NSX still has 17" wheels, I think. As for the tire package. I will not get the tire package unless it comes with different wheels or an upgraded suspension. I can buy tires on my own, for less money.
