How much should I sell my TL for?
I have a 2005 tl with 81k miles bought a few months back. Only down side is driver side seat belt came lose, but I can fix it. No flaws other than that except you know the usual wear and tear through out the years. Runs perfect. Still stocked out. I just want to upgrade to a 2007 or 08 TL. I bought it for 11k, bare put out about 275 miles on it since bought. Any suggestion on pricing? i was thinking about 10800 because of the seat belt situation.

Why would you not just fix the seat belt situation that way it's not even an issue you have to mention to someone? There is a chance it could be fully covered under warranty as well since it's a seat belt issue. Call and ask a local dealership. As far as price sorry I can't help ya, but that's pretty crazy to buy a car and put less than 300 miles on it and be ready to get a different one haha

To a certain extent, i know what you mean. It is a good car, but with all the mods that i want to do on it, I found out that it would save me money switching to a a 07-08

Lets see, sell the car you have for a loss, and spend more money on a 2 year newer model. all to save money on mods? doesn't make sense to me at all! you cant be modding that much that making a 3-5k jump in car price and then mods is worth it. you would for sure save money just taking the difference in car price and putting that in as mods, whats the real reason?

Personally I would not buy a car that someone only owned a few months/few hundred miles, if you told me it's because you wanted a dif. color leather I would think you were lying trying to cover something up.

I just don't want a new leather, i want my whole interior to look like the 2007 version...so why not just sell it and buy a 2007? Like i said, nothing with the car is wrong i just want a different year.

Wow- if I were you I would suck it up and drive the car a little while longer. The interior features are not worth losing sales tax twice, incremental cost difference for '07, along with the risk you might encounter buying a different car with issues that could be more costly than a seat belt The seat belt can't be that big of a deal to fix.
If you really want to get top dollar for your car, give it a thorough cleaning and fix the seat belt and any other minor stuff and then sell the car private party so you can get the best return. Who knows, you might even turn a slight profit on your car possibly.
Your year car has a tighter suspension and will actually handle slightly better than the 07 or newer years if that is any difference. I find it interesting that you came to this realization so quick- less than two tank's worth of gas.

If your heart is set on an 07/08 you might as well get a Type-S IMHO of course. Otherwise, you might regret buying a base...
