How much should i pay for an 08/07 TL Type S

Hey everyone

It has been quite some time .I've been looking to purchase an 07/08 TLS around 100k miles. How much should I pay? I've seen none in good shape under $13.7k plus all dealer fees . NADA is 11425.

Advice?

You should pay 13.7K

Despite the NADA being much lower? Or is it better to get a higher mileage 2012 TL SH-AWD?

Automatic or Manual? If automatic, I would imagine anywhere between $11,000 and $13,000 would be fair for a clean 100,000 mile TL-S (assuming the Timing Belt/Water Pump service has already been performed), add $1,000 to $2,000 if the car you're looking at has the 6MT.

Edit: FWIW, the NADA is irrelevant; the car will sell for however much the market will bear.

Alright, I see how this works. So the car is up from a dealer, I do not think they know if the timing belt was done. I may go for the 08 with 61k for 15k instead.

Automatic or Manual transmission?

Auto.I'm not considering a manual .

Hmmm, even with only 61,000 miles on the car, $15,000 sounds pretty steep.

SleekCLS 06-14-2018 03:44 PM

Maybe I should just go for the regular TL

$38,500 plus delivery fee. or $34.50...

Well what's your budget? Screw NADA, if you can't afford 13K then maybe lower expectations or buy a higher mileage car that meets your budget. If 11K is all you want to spend, then maybe you can find a 120-130K mileage version of the car.
