How do I remove the spoiler on the trunk lid?

I've got the wing type spoiler that I'm trying to remove and repaint. Looked inside trunk, didn't immediately see any attachment method like bolts or screws. How TF did they put this thing on here?! Want it off so I can thoroughly prep and repaint, but not seeing any attachment points.

Pop the trunk liner off and there should be 1-2 bolts per side on the underside of the lid.

Pull on it

I don't know if I'm courageous enough to start pulling on it. It sounds sketchy. Which way? Up, or back?

just grab it and pull towards the back of the car. Could also run some fishing line under each mount to separate the tape. Try heating it up a little to get it pliable. Don't burn the paint tho!

there are two bolts per side, plus 3M tape. If you've only taken out 2 total you have 2 more. You will have to plug those holes and have the trunk painted by a shop because there is no spoiler that will cover that else you'll exposed to the elements. How many have you removed altogether?

I see no evidence of any type of bolt, unless in the one pic, there is a Allen key inside the only hole I see.

The fishing line isn't a bad idea, plus, it will give me an idea where any mechanical fasteners might be.
