How can I clear the orange thing on my headlight? :)

Hello, I'm not exactly sure what you call that orange piece that covers the signal bulb but I was wondering if there was a DIY project on how to clear it. Im assuming you would have to remove the whole lighting fixture. Does anybody have any pics on how to do this? I have an 07 TL. Thank you.

All headlights work the same way, oven/heat gun then do your work and close. There are many techniques and safey precautions to do like make sure its in for only 20 minutes at *200 (WITH START OF PREHEAT). Make sure sealer doesn't get all over insides when you open them and also replace the butyl rubber/silica packets when opening them. BFORBRIANS picture has a bottom burner and if its a top burner MAKE SURE you protect the top or it will melt and I wouldn't put a cloth in there as he did because that says fire all over it.

If they are old you may want to clean the insides with a microfiber cloth and some plastic cleaner thats applicable for the situation because it gets a film on it that dims the light.

Also, I offer this service if your interested. Please email me at BRUCEJTL at GMAIL dot COM.

Any of you guys get harassed by cops for not having the amber reflector? Want to do this mod so bad but don't want to get pulled over.

Haha, it doesn't say fire written all over it. It is very damp. And the cloth is a must if it is a bottom burner or else the plastic WILL melt because of the metal the headlight is sitting on. I've cleared about 10-15 headlights and the cloth was still damp after it came out.

I don't think the cloth will spontaneously ignite at 200*F.
