I had around 210k on mine. Probably would have gotten much more if I kept driving it.

161,000 on what I believe is the original. I am not 100% sure that the previous owner didnt change it, but I don't see why they would have. I baby the car knowing that it could possibly be low on material and I use this as my daily, so no clutch dumps, launches, hard shifting/power shifting etc. She is still faster than my bimmer and I show that car zero mercy.

151K here, though only 2K of that is from me... so I hope the previous owner was easy on it.

My car is at 122,000 miles and on rare occasions I feel that stupid Clutch Delay Valve cause my clutch to float. I was planning on dong the CDV and the clutch all at the same time, but I may break down remove the CDV sooner than later.

- Not driving like you stole it on a daily basis
- Learning to leave from a stop with minimal slippage
- Not using the clutch to hold the car from rolling

I think I went 155k on my original before I replaced with the OE LUK kit. I could have driven it longer but if I floored it past 3000rpm it would slip.

asking clutch life is like asking what MPG you got or how long your brake pads lasted.

I had 242k on mine. It was still fine and had a ton of life left. Had to put another engine in the car so went ahead and replaced it while all was apart....

I beat the living shit out of mine from 42k-135k, and it's still going strong now at 140k with the new owner, so you don't have to go easy on this clutch. I lost track of how many no-lift shifts I did over the years. Riding a clutch is what kills it, not driving it like you stole it.

Wow that’s amazing. I am at 76k & I never launch the car but what other tips can you guys give? I usually put it in neutral & coast to a stop & always stay in highest gear possible. I also skip shift from 4th to 6th 90% of time. The hardest thing is starting from stop sometimes I hold on the clutch longer than I’d like to move smoothly.

NJ star mechanic Paul to the rescue along With control arm/bushings

I would have sold the car without Paul!

Pretty impressive life you guys got out of your clutch. Hopefully mine will last a while longer, but I feel like age will be a bigger problem than miles for me.

OP, nice rx7!!

Don't worry about the age, one of my Acura Legend friend (Tyson) had original clutch on the Legend at the time the car has over 300k miles mark.

Is yours the clutch he replaced after he did mine a few weeks ago? If not for Paul, our star master mechanic here in Nawth Jerzy, my car would have been toast a long time ago. I thank God for Paul (Mr Scott ) almost every day! Living only 10 minutes from him away helps too!

140k so far, no signs of slippage yet! If I can get through this year while I recoup some other investments in her that would be great

Why? Shocks and struts most often last longer than that.

04tl has 184000 miles on original clutch. Still strong But I plan on giving car to my kid. So I’ll probably put in a new clutch and flywheel. The latter had a price tag of over $1000 according to the dealer. I’ll be searching for a better price.

Quite honestly, I'm thinking $1,000 is a pretty darn good price.

Just the parts alone are nearly half that (and probably more from the dealer's parts department):

$1,000 is a great price. I'm still on the original at 360k or so and would be stoked if it only cost a grand to replace the clutch if/when it finally goes.
