High Pitched Whining Through Speakers

High Pitched Whining Through Speakers
Hi. I have a 2006 Acura TL with Navigation. I have a high pitched static/whining sound that comes through the speakers when the radio is on, and the sound increases in pitch when engine RPM's rise (up to around 2500, then it stops).
I have replaced the entire sound system and had the factory radio replaced with an aftermarket, which was professionally installed. I have done every other part of the installation correct (I have plenty of experience with car audio) and I'm not using ANY remaining factory amps, speakers, etc. I have replaced everything including the alternator (I did the Big 3 plus extra grounding in the engine bay); aftermarket amps, speakers, etc. The grounds for the amps themselves are correct (they go to a seatbelt bolt under the rear seats, the metal was sanded and everything); all wiring for amps, etc. is proper size.
My guess for this problem is a bad factory radio ground. But I have read many forms here and elsewhere and it sounds like a lot of people had this problem fixed when they replaced their factory amps.
If an aftermarket radio was installed in the car and a harness was used to keep the same wires from the factory radio, would any factory components be introduced that could have signal running to them, such as the factory amp, any ANC the car may have, etc.?
Thank you.

You said you removed the factory amp but then asked if it was in the signal path??
As you have already assumed/stated, it sounds like a bad ground....but where. In a past car, I had an alternator whine that just wouldn't go away no matter what. I ended up running a ground wire from the amp ground to the front to the HU ground and that resolved it. It should not have needed it and was absolute bad practice....but it finally resolved the alt whine I had.
I do not not know enough about the wiring in the TL to know where the actual ground for the HU is located. I don't think the '06 had ANC yet....thinking that was an '07 and '08 thing only. If the factory amp has been removed, there shouldn't be anything else in the signal path.

Yes, I figured it was a ground loop. What I meant was since I had the radio professionally installed, I don't know what wires they left in the harness and plugged into my head unit.
I've read that Crutchfield article twice, I'm just trying to see if anyone had this problem and something out of the ordinary had to be done to solve it.
Thanks

well then you can ask for a refund on the install because it's still not working properly. If they won't fix it properly, then you can threaten them with a credit card charge back on the initial install

You paid to get your radio installed, right? If not then disregard the rest of this post.
Looks like they messed up and there is a problem.
I would tell them to either do it properly, or return you money and you will take your car to different shop that has some idea what they are doing.
Don't agree to pay extra for their incompetence.

Guessing only the HU was done by the shop...the rest by himself. If that is correct, I can see why the shop may want to charge.
Can you see/reach the back of the HU from under the dash? Thinking at least as a test if you can attach/touch a ground to the back side of the HU chassis to see if an additional/improved ground clears things up.

I forgot to mention that when the HU was installed I mad nothing else installed (amps, speakers, etc) so the guy wouldn’t have been able to hear the hissing/whining sound. I can’t make him look at it for free because the system wasn’t fully installed, what he did was the first part and I did the rest.
I’m going to check the foo panel on the passenger side and see what it looks like, the guy before me added some stuff when he “installed a sound system” and he used some of the factory stuff that was in the car.
Last resort will be taking out the HU and trying to re-ground it. Does anyone know a good place it could
be grounded while still keeping the cable as short as possible?
And the radio has a USB out that charges your phone/plays the music.

didn't even consider than an option since OP kept claiming "it was professionally installed"
