But the bigger question is why would you? It is one thing to want to convert away from halogen to LED, but why would you want to convert away from HID to LED?

Stay with HID x3

LED headlights aren't ready for prime time yet. They're fine for auxiliary lighting but our bi-xenon HID projectors are one of the best on the market so stick with what's tried and true.

[QUOTE=Jackass;15701350]But the bigger question is why would you? It is one thing to want to convert away from halogen to LED, but why would you want to convert away from HID to LED?[/QUOTE . My right HID stopped working last week, Checked the fuses , there good .My plan was to diagnose the problem this weekend, the weather is on my side here in Michigan. On my way to work this morning the left side went out, if you turn off the headlights then back on the left comes on but dim and purplish color, The right stays out, I was planning on swapping parts side to side for diagnosing . A co worker was telling me about the LED swap.

LEDs do not dissipate correctly in projectors, if your looking for a bright set up check this out: Retrofit Lighting - EndLess RPM

So you never need to change them again

This thread was 2017, so it’s been 2 years, but after all of the ridiculousness of the HID lighting in the 2003 TL I’d love LEDs. Blown ballasts, went to Morimoto system, failed, replaced, failed again. Ended up with the cheapest looking junk that I paid good money for but go for nothing on ebay I noticed. Those didn’t fail. Now I’m going through the whole car and while the front end is opened up, I figured I’d throw a new kit in because the cheapies are getting old. LED would solve it forever.
