I am not sure what an ATX is and the current RL is AWD but I am not sure about the older ones. I would ask this in the RL section.
I have not had one problem with my 06 six speed TL, best car I have owned hands down.

The issue I have with AWD cars is it takes alot of HP spin all four wheels, which means a slower car that uses more fuel. Look at Subrau's fast off the line but nothing on the freeway.

Depends. You want more Luxury with no FWD torque steer issues? Get the RL

You want a car with more sport vs Luxury with some luxury? But you have to get a FWD car with torque steer galore? Get the TL-S.

Both are great cars. The RL is built a bit better than the TL obviously it costs more. All depends what you want.

^ exactly, what are you looking for in a vehicle? Do you live in an area with mild winters?

Actually the 2008 RL has decent fuel mileage considering the size and SH-AWD- 16/24 compared to the TL 18/26 or TLS 6MT 18/27, TLS AT 17/26. Not bad for a 4100# vehicle.

To me, 2 different cars, nice and comfy with all the amentities, or a sport sedan with great handling, but FWD.

Need to drive both to see what personality you enjoy.

So what are the common issues with the TL/TLS? Reason im asking about the atx tranny is cause the 98-02 accord had problems CL. maybe older TL also not sure.

IMO, it all boils down to whether you want more Luxury (RL) vs Sportier (TL) car.

Man! You really don't want to do your own research, do you?
Didn't you already have this thread locked down before?

I'll try again... what TLyears are you looking at? you are much more likely to get a response if you NARROW it down. T
The problems in a 98-02 accord/cl have nothing to do with 2010 TL/RL models. ALSO, common issues only pertain to certain years, hence why you need to tell us what YEARS you're looking at.

Try browsing the problems/fixes sections to find your 'common' problems.

All 2nd generation RL's are All-wheel drive and it is an excellent drivetrain.
You really shouldn't have any transmission/engine problems in the current TL/RL models... And TL-S was last made '07-'08.

I drive an '07 TL-S and I like the car more than I like most people.
