Headlight tint cover for orange signals?

I just purchase these for my 06 TL to tint out the UGLY orange sides on the headlights.

Has anyone ever installed these?
Are they easy?
Do they bubble?
Peel off?
Are they removable without damaging your headlights?

let me know yall

This is what cleared headlights look like.

This is what cleared headlights look like with switchbacks (parking lights light up WHITE when in parking light mode. Switches from white to AMBER when turn signal is engaged)

Those headlight tint you bought is a cheap alternative to hiding the amber, but honestly to me it's just that. CHEAP. If you want to get rid of the amber, do it the correct way and put your headlights in the oven and open them up and remove the amber diffuser.

Putting any kind of tint film or spray on head lights or tail lights to me is just cheap and shouldn't be done to any car at all. Some cars can pull it off real good, but the TL isn't one of them.

Search acurazine on "Cleared headlights" to find instructions.

On the stalk on the left side of the steering wheel when you flip it over once it will turn on your parking lights, license plate lights, and rear tail lights.

Flip it over twice than it will go to "Auto" mode which will only turn on your headlights when it's dark outside. Flip it over 3 times and it will turn your headlights on regardless day or night.

The process is pretty easy. Just remove head lights from car, put them in oven for no longer than 10 minutes, pry the headlights apart and take the amber out. Put it back together using new butyl sealant.

The worst thing that can happen (has happened to many that tried to do it on their own) is that your headlights will condense when you put everything back together. Condense means water will build up inside. It may look fine and dry when your done, but once it rains or you wash your car you will immediately notice water building up on the inside of the headlights. This is caused from improperly re-sealing the headlights.

I got mines done from a friend for $80. He installed my USR Clear style diffusers as well as authentic ZKW lenses (no replicas) all for $80.

The only thing he didn't do was properly align my cut off for a sharp crisp clean cut off. My cut off line is so fucked up and ugly.

If you are talking about the "INSIDE" bulb as in the bulb nearest to the center of the Acura grill, than those are your Daytime Running Lights. They come on anytime that the car is turned on. They turn off when your headlights are turned on. If you have the E-Brake engaged before you start the car, the DRL will not come on. It's when you disengage the E-Brake will the DRLs turn on.

Putting them in the oven is the only way to get your headlights to open up. Your headlights are sealed together with sealant. When you put your headlights in the oven at 150-200 degrees Fahrenheit it heats up the sealant and makes it easy to pry apart the headlight housing.

Is there anyway to avoid condensation? Yes. Apply the correct amount of sealant on your headlights when you close them up and make sure it's a tight fit. Many people use clamps to hold the headlight housing together to ensure a snug fit.

If you feel un easy about doing it, I highly recommend you taking it to someone that has experience doing it rather than trying to experiment on your own and fuck something up. Headlights are nearly $500 to replace.

You can attempt to do it on your own to get some experience, but to me it wasn't worth the risk.

Since you live in New Jersey like the other 75% of the people on this forum (or so it seems) you shouldn't have a hard time finding a acurazine member who has done this mod to their headlights. You should go to the regions forum and ask around. I'm sure someone would be happy to help you out for a few beers

We have people on this forum to clear/black out your headlights for you if you don't feel easy doing them yourself. JnC and AckTL05 just to name a few.
