This Happened During the Weekend...
Driver 1 supposedly was trying to move out of the way so Driver 2 can pass on the other side. While doing so, his truck's rear wheel tore my bumper off my parked car. Thankfully he left a note... Going to be a painful process... Bumper and foglight damage!
Cheers!

Ouch! Sorry to see!
Maybe this time you can pick up a Type-S bumper instead of the base bumper that it had on it for some reason?
Looks like you'll need a new headlight bracket too.

How much do you estimate it'll cost to repair:
OEM Bumper/paint
Front fog lights are shattered and the wiring was pulled
Chrome grille is cracked
Fender liner
Headlight is sightly pushed in on impacted side
Labor
Misc expenses
Thanks! I want to make sure I'm getting a reasonable estimate. And I do realize that the insurance company would not be willing to replace with OEM, but aftermarket bumpers are just as expensive!

Pricing can vary quite a bit depending on the shop and the parts used (OEM, used, or aftermarket). These are the current prices for OEM from Delray (acuraoemparts.com):
Bumper cover - $239.22 (the grille is integral to this part)
Front bumper absorber - $62.03 (this is clearly detached in your photo)
Fog light housings & mesh - $117.12 [x2]
Fog light units - $302.33 [x2]
Bumper corner beam - $36.32 (this is the headlight bracket)
Fender liners - $37.34 [x2]
In reality the parts quoted by the body shop were 25-30% higher than the prices I could get from Delray. So, parts total $1251.15 +/- $300?
Looking at my deer strike repair, about 8 hours were quoted to paint and R&I the bumper and associated bits. Keep in mind that my 2004 doesn't have the fogs and that may add 0.5 to 1. Hours can vary by shop, $40-50 should be a safe guess.
Make sure you discuss with the body shop what your options are for parts. I would push hard for an OEM bumper and let them choose on most other components.

Can you explain to me the difference between base bumper and type s bumper?
I obviously know the aspec which is completely different looking, but after looking at my type s and a regular 07-08 they look the exact same in the front...

I would also not test my luck and get a dash cam. In this day and age, everyone should have one.

@DMZ - glad that in the end everything worked out for you!
So, called the company for which the employee works for (the company is liable for the damage), and they don't have insurance... He seems reluctant to pay and I may have to bring it to Small Claims court... Ugh...
Will keep y'all posted!

I'd probably just go through your insurance and let them deal with the uninsured party.

Quick Update: Good News!
Hey AZine,
Just a quick update on this:
Brought this accident to small claims court and sued the rental company. I won the case and the insurance paid up!
I bought all the parts to repair the front bumper. Just waiting for the winter to pass to get this rolling. Also, need to find a place to paint my new bumper. (Any idea how much that should cost? - ASM)
Will keep y'all posted and hopefully a picture by the Spring!

Yes! It is a type S! And what would you suggest I replace my headlights with? And definitely relieved it was just the bumper!!

Null and proud of it
Get some blackout headlights! Maybe sonthing similar OEM TypeS lights!
Many members here can guide you there!
They just look kinda bad right now and I don't know how much sanding/compounding would help at this point...
Get some new bulbs... Osram 5K D2S bulbs! Hear they're great!!!
Maybe put new ballast and ignites while in there, but it may not really be worth it right now....
The car is apart so fix everything while in there!
How about doing the yellow fogs? Maybe the iJdm Toy LED drl mod?
Full LEDs up front?
How about a CAI?
On a second thought, your car really doesn't look modded, may not be your cup of tea... But, atleast look into new headlights... It will make the carvlook new again!

Man...sorry this happened. I know you said you won the case at the court and this happened in September. So the car has been sitting this whole time?? And it will be down a few more months until Winter has passed, from what you've said? Man...that's a lot of down time!

I want to enjoy the car stock for now... Haven't had the chance to look into mods, but I'm sure it'll come eventually! Thanks for the insight!

I actually drove it this morning to move it to a safer parking spot in my neighborhood... Always on the lookout for a good spot...

It's been a long while, but have been finding the time to start working on my TL-S - new front and rear bumpers and an A-Spec kit (all OEM)! Fortunately, there's a dealer in Jersey where I was able to pick up all the parts (no shipping costs).
Haven't replaced the bumpers yet but will keep y'all posted!
Also... Not really a fan of the ASM and trying save costs on painting the new bumpers... So going wrap the TL-S in 3M Black Rose.
Started on the hood... More to come!
