Great first mods?
hey everyone I'm new to the forum so I'm still getting used to everything. I was just wondering what are some great first mods. I've purchased a 2007 cbp TL base model with 106k miles back in August.

Transmission Service? Drain and refill the transmission, then again, and again one final time.

You should always do "maintenance over mods."
Given the mileage, it is very critical that your 105k service is performed. Here is a list of some items that are often recommended:
Timing belt
Timing belt auto-tensioner
Timing belt Tensioner pulley
Idler pulley
Serpentine Belt
Water pump
Coolant service
Valve Adjustment
Unfortunately, mods are only cool if your car is actually running.

Drifting
Maintenance
- timing belt
- water pump
- spark plugs
- serp belt
- brakes
- brake fluid flush
- transmission fluid drain/fill
- transmission pressure thingys (I don't own an auto...are they sensors or switches??)
- power steering fluid drain/fill
- coolant/anti-freeze drain/fill
- cabin air filter
- engine air filter
- oil change
- alignment
- wiper blades
- tires
Once you know those are all taken care of....next mod? That is all personal preference. My first mod? I washed it....well....I lied...the dealer washed it. I just own and drive mine for the most part.

Waffeey right lmao. I'm in this situation right now. Either gonna do a av6 swap or just expensive rebuild with better components. I have a heavily aesthetic modded 05 TL AT with 185K.

Best bang for the buck mods assuming you've gone through the mechanicals is a long tube J-pipe and a TL-S rear anti-roll bar.
Also, get a DA polisher, some pads, polishes and clean up the paint then wax or seal it.

FWIW, I recently discovered the rear swaybar on the Type-S is the same bar on the 2004-2006 models with the 6MT.
