Fuel Injector Cleaners

I know this topic has to be covered somewhere on AZ but every time I tried to find it with the search I haven't had any results. I am looking for opinions on what your favorite fuel injector cleaner is and why. I have heard oil additives are no good so I am not too interested in that. I am looking to add a fuel injector cleaner into my tank now that I am almost at 160k. I usually fill up with premium but if my wife has the car she doesn't always remember to fill it with premium. I have seen many youtube videos on Seafoam... I do not plan on putting it in the oil or vac port but I was curious if it would work if I just pour it in the gas tank.

Do you fill up at tier 1 gas station like shell, chevron, Exxon, bp or anywhere else? That should already keep them clean. Gum out with regant or Techron fuel additive is what I use once ina a while

I occasionally dump in the Gumout one in the seafoam-looking canister.

That's what Paul, our star mechanic in NJ agrees as long as I keep using Top Tier Gas. However, I recently threw a can of Seafoam in the gas tank, and WOW, what a difference! I'm hooked on the stuff now, especially since the price is down to $6.99 almost everywhere.

Roughly quarterly, I put in a bottle of Chevron Fuel System Cleaner since when we travel we can't always get top-tier fuel. When we are home, we always use Hy-Vee, Costco, or QT fuels only.

I use Seafoam on a regular basis on my small engines and for sure swear by it. Just not on a regular basis on the TL...no reason other than I just haven't. Used it often on my previous cars.

Top Tier gas and occasional bottle of Techron should be all you need.

QT and Costco both are top tier...Hy-Vee is not, but it is the only place near me that sells Ethanol free.
