Front Bumper License plate plugs!

Front Bumper License plate plugs!
Hey everyone!
I need some help from my fellow Aziners.
I went to the Acura dealer on my way home today; the one thats known in this area for being cheaper than most.. (Radley Acura) for those of you that live in NoVa
I asked for the bumper plugs that go into the holes where the license plate goes into, and he said he had non in stock, non available in any color. He said special order, and something like 20$, which is ridiculous to me. I know, i know, its only 20 bucks but they way i look at it, its just stupid and I hate that feeling of being "had."
Anyone know where I can get some cheaper? I know a lot of you guys ended up getting them free...so if anyone has an extra set (in any color) that would be great too... I can just use my touch up paint if I have to....should only cost you a stamp and an envelope!
I know a lot of people said just go to the salesman and ask and blah blah, but these TLs are no longer sold NEW anymore, so most if not all the ones on the lot already have license plate brackets installed, and the plugs are long gone...doubt anybody would still have any laying around.
any and all help is appreciated!

As far as I know, they're pretty hard to find. Some dealerships will give them away for free or for a few dollars, others charge $20 to even $40 for them.
You could try this:

And after you install the recess caps, you still may have a couple of holes for the frames. Lowe's has both white and black screw hole plugs that coincidently fill those holes. The white color is pretty close to the WDP, however, I imagine you could use some touch-up paint to precisely match your car's color. I did this with my wife's Electric Blue PT Cruiser and you can't tell the plugs are in; which is the point - right?

maybe i'm just cheap, but i could never justify paying $35 for a couple tiny pieces of plastic.
any hardware strore will have something you can use for pennies.

I've been debating taking off the front plate for a while now. But the way the cops around here camp and pull you over for anything I just dont know.
Have you called around to any of the other dealers around here? Pohanka, Norris West, Tishcer, Chevy Chase etc.

20.00 is not alot of money at all. I paid like 12.00 for mine as i worked it in when i bought the car and got them at cost. I would just bite the bullet and buy them. by the time you are done hunting around you could have bought them and had it done by now.

I found them here for $6.85 each plus shipping. I hope this link works.

Link still works and looks like they are $7.52 now. Is that for "each" or a set?
Can't really tell from the site but I'd imagine its per plug so a set would be $25.99 shipped to my door. That seem like highway robbery for 2 little plastic plugs?

It's really not because they are factory painted. That's what you are paying for.

They've gone up significantly in price since this was originally posted. I ended up buying them new from the dealer for both of my previous TLs for around 15-17$ iirc.
On my current TL I opted to have the holes permanently filled and painted over when I had my bumper repainted. Fuck bumper plugs.
At this point the only viable and reasonable solution is to make your own out of any type of small plastic generic plug. Then paint with your touch up paint. there is a DIY posted with all the info needed and where to buy perfect plugs.

I actually have 2 here in SSM if you need them sterlingvq.. You can paint them if you want in your color code.. Just pick up some touch up paint from your local auto zone or advanced auto and repaint them.. Let me know.. I'll let them go real cheap..

2015 MDX Bumper License hole plugs
Quick effective solution for license hole plugs.
Buy a pack 50 - Cover Caps KD-16080 from Lowe's for less than $3.
These are 9/16" diameter, adhesive backed, white (paintable) screw covers.
I had a small bottle of touch-up paint on put on 2 coats. Make sure you also paint around the edges. Each coat took about 30-60 minutes to dry.
Take off adhesive backing and press over the hole.
Apply wax and polish and it's done. Fits in just fine.
