Fog Light Shields Removed... More light output????

Does it make a difference in light output if the fog light shields were to be removed in the 07-08 fogs? Anyone done this mod before? If so any pics of the difference would help me out in making my decision. I have LED's installed and they're pretty good but had more ground coverage with HID's. Just hated that they started to turn lime green after a year or so and they were 3000K bulbs at that.

aftermarket LED's are not nearly as powerful as HID's yet...
and you probably purchased chitty HID kit that went sour....
i've been rocking Morimoto HID kit for 4-5 years now, with no problems

It definitely will make a difference with the glare shield removed.
You'll get slightly more output in a different area but you'll be blinding oncoming traffic.

they turned lime green because you used either shitty bulbs or shitty ballast

Hell every new truck I drive toward blinds me might as well take them off. Seems people can't see worth a crap these days they have to blind everyone. Back in my day a Candle was enough, lol.

Do other drivers a favor and keep them on. IMO the difference is negligible
