Gerry, its your car.
and mods are personal.

what do YOU think the car needs improvement on.
Sound?(exterior and interior)
exterior modifications?
interior modifications?
what do you want out of the car?????

you can also take a look through the forums and find some great IDEAS!!! remember, this car is at least 10 years old now. everything that has been done to the car is pretty much WELL documented here.
Dont be afraid to take a look.
its in a book.
reading rainbow.

Too many times I come across a topic like this and wonder if people are modding cars just for the sake of modding them. like the gentleman above me said, modding is personal. drive the car around for a while and then decide if anything needs to be done to the car for you to get more enjoyment out of it.

Welcome to the TL family! I hope you enjoy your new car!

I know some inexpensive mods:
Seat covers, exhaust tips, steering wheel covers, shifter knobs, tow hook, dashboard condoms.

Lol. It's what Justin said. Here is a thread of performance mods, a nice menu. https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-performance-parts-modifications-112/performance-modifications-tl-owners-701772/

Otherwise, you'll just have to lurk around here and see what's up. It's how I learned.

As far as your fuel cap problem, check out TSB 09-056 here: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/3g-tl-technical-service-bulletins-tsbs-3g-garage-j-016-a-613659/

Welcome

Agree with all of the above

OP you first must figure out what is it that you want or need to improve? However, I would fix the issue(s) first before I start modding. Maintenance over mods.

Check out the a-spec kit and a-spec suspension. You might also be interested in the rear window spoiler and the window/sunroof visors, though there are mixed feelings about those as an aesthetic mod around here. None of the good stuff is under $200 though.

Edit: Oh yeah! Haha totally forgot about the lights!

Um 200 wont get you that far with exterior

I can only think of at the moment: black/clear out headlights, side markers, deck lip spoilers, custom your tail lights since yours is a 2007, LEDs but may require relay mod, plasti dip or vinyl wrap your "chrome pieces," etc.

There has been numerous of newbies who have ask this question; so if you search for them, you may find other information portraying to what your goals are.

Have fun modding

yes, we are experienced ONLY because we drove the car and figured out what we wanted to improve on!!!
and because EVERYTHING you want to do is well documented on acurazine!

not if we have to do it every 5 seconds.
there's like 20 threads below yours asking the same.

if you have time to ask a question that's not an emergency, you have plenty of time to look through some threads.

OP (Gerry, that's you). Don't be discouraged by these guys. They just like to :gheyfight:. However, they're absolutely 100% completely right. Too many people expect to be spoon fed information. I'm not saying that you're one of them, but I guarantee that if you lurk these forums, you're going to learn a hell of a lot and get ideas for your own mods. I promise you won't be disappointed if you stick around. Don't be discouraged from asking questions either. But try to do a little searching first.

I think your reading is a bit incomprehensive. Justnspace simply ask at first what your goals are and that regardless that you want our opinions they will still contrast one another as our taste are different. I know you wanted a baseline on what we started with, but if I like black out headlights and you dont, well I am not going to sit here throw out ideas on a car that isnt mine. Yes new products are developing, but that is why we have a vendors link too. Gett to know the forum site and you will find tons of products and ideas. You say that a forum is a place to ask question; true, but a forum also consist of gathered information that has been given by members who have already answer similar questions. Research is the key and we suggest google as it finds most questions very quickly; just add acurazine to the question. Please dont take this personal, we just want newbies to think for themselves instead of always holding their hands. Again happy modding and maintenance over mods.

Gerry, welcome to AcuraZine and congrats on your new ride.

You might look in My Garage. You'll get an idea of some of the many mods you can do-many of them are very inexpensive.

Access My Garage by clicking on the name of my car in the signature.

I want to give an example on why I'm so hard on some.
I'm so proud, when people "get it"

this young gentleman, started JUST like you, asking questions and not knowing anything.
at first, the gentleman reacted the same as you.
"NO justin, you dont know what you're talking about. fuck you. go away."

but look at his car now:
First '07 TL mods?-atwhhrq.jpg

Fucking BEAUTIFUL!
and he did it all on his own.

You, too, can transform your ride into something sexy.
you just need to read.

Cheap Acura 3rd Gen TL mods? Good luck with that one.

Best chance is buying them used in the black market at a discounted price and do lots of DIY projects (I.E Clearing Headlights, Painting Grill, De-Badging, etc)

Just be warned: Once you buy one thing...It will become an addiction.

Sell your TL buy an early 90's non molested Civic and eBay will be friend. Most of those guys trade all sorts of crap for parts. I've seen dogs, animal crackers, ex-girlfriends, used j's, case of plasti-dip ect being traded for civic parts.

Everytime there's a thread like this that pops up, I always wonder to myself "Ballin on a budget" Unrealistic budget. The rule of thumb is, if you have to ask...

Being that the 3rd gen is stupid old, I would bet you anything you want to do, have seen, have heard of, know a friend of a friend of a friend has done.. It's most likely been done and beaten to death. Search will be your best friend here on Acurazine. If all failed between acurazine and google you can ask and make a thread. Take care of the vehicle 1st since i'm sure it needs service before going into modifications on a budget.
