FEELER: Quad Exhaust Tips for Base TL **UPDATE- NOW ON SALE**

I'm trying to see how much interest there is in quad tips for the base TL. I have been in contact with Ron regarding becoming a vendor and have made this thread with his permission.

These double wall tips are made of polished 304 Stainless Steel. They have the same specs as the tips in the popular "$67 mod thread" except they have 2.5" inlets. This should not be an issue whatsoever and if necessary your local muffler shop could use a coupler when welding them on.

Inlet Diameter: 2.5"
Outlet Diameter: 3"
Overall Width: 6.38"
Length: 9.5"

These will fit your Base TL with an A-Spec rear lip. Most people already know how these look because of a couple of threads in the photograph gallery but here they are on my 04:

These are perfect for those who do not want to spend a ton of money on a catback exhaust system or those like myself, who have custom catbacks.

These tips started at a very reasonable price and quickly shot up to $199 because of the demand. I hope to be able to offer the pair of tips for way less than that but somewhat above the price mentioned in the "$67 mod thread".

Sorry I can't be more specific but can't do it in a feeler thread.

If you are interested, please let me know in this thread. If there is enough interest I may become a vendor for these here on Acurazine. Thanks!

The price would be very reasonable. The price went from $67 to $120 to $199. I would be able to sell them for less than the first price hike ($120). However, I have to leave it at that. I'm not allowed to be more specific since this is a feeler thread and I'm not yet a vendor.

Unfortunately, no. They're not available in that finish and if I took them somewhere to get that done it would probably raise the price quite a bit. I suppose if you bought a set you could take them somewhere to get dipped in black chrome.

Do you make these?

If so, can you make the base tips bigger (fit the hole better) and I'll buy those.

No, I do not manufacture these tips. And regarding the original oem base tips, I found that having them re-welded further out improved the look a ton. From the factory, our tips are pushed in way too much.

I think I would be down for a set of these. I was debating on a catback exhaust, but after the money I've already spent this would be a nice alternative in the meantime.

I'm glad there is some interest in these. I'm hoping to get a bit more interest before I decide if I will become a vendor.

Put these tips out for under $100 shipped and they will sell like hotcakes. No doubt I would consider it if I ever can get my hands on an A-SPEC kit. Good luck!

Put me in as interested and subscribed!

I was very disappointed when the $67 option went away and discouraged at what our other options were. I agree >$100 and I bet you won't be able to keep them in stock! I've got an exhaust shop lined up, just no product!

I hope this is enough interest and keep us posted!

That's a good question.

On another note, I deleted an off topic post, and will delete any future posts not dealing with the exhaust tips.

Let's keep this on topic so it will be easier for new readers to go through it and hopefully join the crowd that's forming to buy these.

I think if you're able to keep the price around $100, they will sell. I already bought a set of new quads through someone in the BM and paid about that price.

Anybody put these on a non A-spec rear bumper?

Really want them, but have no intention of adding the A-spec to my car.
