Question electrical buzz just as door opened?

Has anyone noticed or heard a slight and quick electrical sounding buzz when the driver's door is first opened after unlocking? I hear this sound momentarily just before the beep sound in the memory seat setting when "driver 1" detected, and return to the set position. I do not think it is the mirror motor, and I hear it before the seat motors engage. Thanks

Well I thoght it was the mirror or seat motor but you ruled those out. The only things that move are the seat and the mirror.

it could be the headlight shield moving into position?

I heard this same noise in my S2000, I know exactly what you are talking about but do not have a clue what it is. Fuel pump is my only guess?

Thanks for the input. Sounds like the car is getting ready for something. I did not know there was a shield on the headlights. tell me about it. The fule pump is another good explanation. Probably shold not be concerned. If something breaks, I'll know it

It's a solenoid that covers part of the headlight output when the beams are in the "low" position. This is the default "power off" position.

I think you can test to see if this is your "mystery sound" by turning off the car while leaving the high beams on, and then letting the headlight auto-off feature turn off the beams. The solonoid should release when the auto-off turns off the headlights. When you turn the car on again, the high beams will turn on, which will also turn on the solonoid (and maybe reproduce your sound). This will be more of a "pop" noise, though.
