Ebay Two-tone leather seat bottom replacement results

For those with the two-tone type-s seats there are not that many options in the aftermarket. I had been on the hunt for a used set, but I found that usautonation makes a four panel type-s bottom. I thought that they didn't offer it in the two-tone, (black and silver).

I found a one-time listing of someone selling the actual two-tone seat bottoms that was listed as a usautonation brand ( no real markings to confirm brand) I went ahead and took a risk that the would not match the back, as they are in good shape. I installed both seat bottoms this weekend with little issue. Below are some pics. The color is not exactly the same, but it's really close. Overall I'm happy with it.

That looks pretty good, I would go that option also. My rear seat bottoms are in terrible condition. I need to research what options they have for two tone rear

the perforation is the same spacing as oem, but they are not at a 45% angle as they should.

Not bad for eBay! In fact, it looks more "cushy" than OEM, if that makes sense...

I never did find a direct listing from Autonation in the two-tone, at least not pictured in the correct color. They have several "gray" listings, but the seller i bought mine from listed it as Autonation brand, (though no branding or install instructions with a brand name included) and included actual pictures of the item.

Perhaps reach out to Autonation to ask about the color, they would probably sell lot of they pictured them in the two-tone.

Here is the listing you've probably already found with the"gray" color.

So you're the guy that bought them!

I've been thinking about getting them re-covered at a local upholstery shop, but most shops recommend vinyl because leather is just too expensive.

Autonation just said they only sell the taupe "gray" color.

eBay seller u.s.autoseatcover also said the same thing.

Bumping this thread to see if anyone has had any luck finding good seat covers or seat cover replacements for a 3G Type-S. I'm willing to pay for good, leather replacements, but I can't find much out there.

Does anyone have any success to share??

According to their website, they only have covers for non-Type-S.

You might want to give them a call; I believe one other Type-S owner here was able to get skins from them.
