DIY Video: Removing Your Rear Bumper 3G Garage #E-095
Hey guys you wanted a video for removing your rear bumper and here it is.
It was fairly easy to film this time around. I only had 5 minutes to cover things in this video so I hope it was enough.
If for some reason the video doesn't play just click refresh (F5) on the photobucket page.
Needed Tools:
- 1 Flat Head screw driver (2 would be better for clips)
- 1 Normal length Phillips Screw Driver (longer would be better)
- 1 wrench with 10mm socket

Pimpin' Ain't Easy!
Excellent man. I wish I knew the stuff you did, I have a nice camera/PC setup, but no knowledge HAHA... im gonna be relying on you for this!... if you get an aspec kit, you should do a DIY... heck, you should talk to your Acura dealership, see if they can sponsor one for you, if you make DIYs for new employees LOL just a thought
keep up the good work!

Another good one to be added to the 3G Garage.
I'm not going to start a video section in the garage yet. Mainly waiting for a few more, but also because I have to think about how to do it. But the video links are clearly identified so that should help.

to answer buhhbuhh question, it should be the same as he mention, there is no extra screws i believe. When i installed my aspec rear, all i did was drill hole into the original bumper to attach the lip and prettymuch reuse the screws to hold everything back into place.

Not completely, but it does have to be dropped down on each side a couple inches to access the bolts underneath the tails. Most people drop 1 side at a time. That's what I did for mine and 05TLRIDERs. Haven't looked at the video yet but one point to make is that the year can make a small difference on how the bumper is put on. Mine had 6 bolts on the bottom where as 05TLRIDER's had 2 bolts and 4 plastic clips.

Another nice video Ivan.
I had the right tools to get into the hard to reach places, but your tips definitely make it easier.
One thing I found interesting was that the black piece came out attached to your bumper cover. Mine stayed on the car. Here is a picture taken from my A-Spec install thread:
Maybe it will come out on some and not on others?
Thanks for the video!

sandiegodrive... thanks a bundle. You have my vote for creating the most resourceful thread. Up until now I had no clue how to remove any of bumpers. The other DIY descriptions and the OEM manual did me no good. The video was a great help.

You saved me
After a very frustrating time trying to replace my TL tailights with non-oem type s tails, I realize I have to take off the bumper. Thank you for the great work on the video. Without it, I would still be yanking out the other tail by force. Attention Acura engineers:Make it easier to swap taillights please.

Here I come!
I was just trying to smoke out my tail lamps, but later I will be installing the Type S tails so I'm glad I seen this video. Thanks!

And thanks, I've been really busy and still haven't had time to check back as often.
I'll have more videos soon

Thanks a lot for this vid man. I just got my Type S tails yesterday, and I think I can put them on today using the vid as a guide. Much appreciated! No way I am spending $110 for the damn dealership to change them out.

+Thanks on a very helpful video.
I'm curious, with the DIYers who've said this was easy, and removed their front and/or rear bumpers, has anyone broken the clips or other fasteners? I'd hate to work on this over a weekend, break a couple of them and not be able to put my covers back on because there's no stealership open to get parts from. I'll buy some preemptively if it's prudent, but I can't really tell because no one seems to mention that they've broken a fastener.
