Turn on your hazard lights and see how many lights flash. This will tell you if it is only the left, or maybe the left and right.
Turn signals will usually flash faster for the bulbs that operate when one or more of the other bulbs is not working.
Until you check all the bulbs and tell us which one(s) are not operating, it will be hard to give a diagnosis.

A double filament is kind of like 2 sections on one light bulb, with one receiving 5w, and the other 21w. If I read your post correctly, you are saying that the 5w section is still working, which is why it lights up when I just turn the driving lights on, but the 21w section might be loose, or blown, which is the blinking section of the bulb.

The paint I used kept SOME reflectiveness but it was reduced alot. The one I bought was the glossy'st one they had a Autozone.
With the stock light bulb it looks dim, but I will change the bulb to PIAA Extreme White bulbs and I'll post pics to compare.

Just took this project on a couple days ago. For resealing, I first did not not add any additional silicone, pushed the two pieces as close together as possible. I then put the assembly into the oven with the lens face up for about 15 minutes at 200 degrees.
I took it out of the oven, put it on the counter with the lens face up and pushed it the rest of the way down. I then added black silicone all the way around joint, putting a little more around the tabs, and I just used my finger to smooth it out.
On the first headlight, I tried adding an additional bead of silicone before putting the two pieces together, but I found it was harder to get the two pieces flush again. I hope this helps some people. This is definitely a big project and requires patience, but the outcome is definitely nice and makes your TL stand out from the rest of the crowd.

I know that theres this place that will do it for $150 I believe, you just need to give them the headlight. Rego Sport in SoCal....
If I were to charge someone I'd probably charge 150 with all the materials provided and the headlights already removed from the car. If I was to do the whole thing 300....... For removing the bumper, reinstalling, and the paint, silicon, etc......

Your sig says you replaced several of the bulbs. Do you have any shots? Day and or night? I am especially interested in the blue fogs and the turn signlals. Also in the other thread your grille change is sick.

Instead of starting another blacked/cleared headlights thread i'm bumping this one.
I cleared my headlights in March and liked them for about 2 weeks. I also had some problems with the gorilla glue so I decided to black them out. Once again this thread served its purpose, as I had no idea what paint to buy.
Process was much faster this time and I really like the looks of the blacked out headlights. If anyone is considering clearing the headlights, think long and hard about it. It does just come down to personal opinion but I think I'm going to be much happier with them blacked out.
Thanks again for the awesome write up PPLAPW

I'll go take some right now. I have a feeling they look darker because the sun was at a weird angle and all that other photo stuff I know nothing about.

Hopefully these turn out better
If I were to do this over again I would have taken the two pieces I painted down to a body shop to have them spray them with the NBP color.

That crack pisses me off. A friend of mine backed into my car and made it grow another inch....I want to fix it but I drive a lot and it takes a pretty good beating on the road as is. No sense dropping that kind of money on a new one just yet.

^-What I did was put the lense back on and stick it in the oven for about 10 min. Pulled it out, put some silicone around the edges and then put it back in the oven for another 10. By the time I was done it fit together pretty well. Once everything was back together I put a light layer of silicone around the edges just to ensure there would be no way water would get in.

Your first question: no idea, havent run into that
2nd: I put a small bit of silicone along the entire light and then put it in the oven. pulled it out, pushed it together more and did a light bake to make sure nothing hardened up. after i pulled it out a second time i pushed it together more and then did an outer later of silicone.

Alright thanks subinf,
First-If anyone has a problem with lens clogging up just let it sit there for like an hour or so and the moisture will go away.
Subinf-You're headlights look really good
PPLAPW-God i wish i was as creative as you with my car haha the grill and everything
I'll post pics of my headlights most probably sometime tonight guys

Just gotta add these instructions were great, my DGP headlights came out great but i did have to prime them for some reason. Thanks for the help
Oh for the moisture issue, when i did my CL headlights back in the day i found that a hairdryer will quickly dry them out if you cant wait for them to clear
