Difference between brake rotors for auto and manual TL type S models???

My car is a 2007 TL Type S 6 speed manual. A little background to my problem...

I recently bought a set of brembo front and rear brake rotors and pads for my car. The rear brake pads and rotors fit perfect but I noticed when I went to install the fronts that I could not fit the new pads and rotors on without using a lot of force to get the new pads into the calipers and they were hanging off the rotors and not making full contact. I took everything apart and compared the old rotors to the new ones and noticed the new Brembo ones were about 6-8mm too small in diameter. I put the new brembo pads on the front with the old rotors and everything went together perfect so I know the problem is with the rotors. The rotors are made in China so it could very well be that they are just typical chinese made sub par junk but my question for those who are more familiar with these cars...

Is there a difference between the front rotors for auto and manual tl type s cars? I looked in my FSM and couldnt find anything listed that specified differences between models but when I look at listings for rotors for these cars online I see a lot of "will not fit with manual transmission TLs" under the description for the product. Any input from those who are familiar and have experience with this topic is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The rear brake rotors for all 3G TLs are the same; the front rotors are as follows:
  • 2004-2008 non-Type-S 5AT diameter: 11.810"
  • 2004-2008 non-Type-S 5AT thickness: 1.100"
  • 2004-2006 non-Type-S 6MT diameter: 12.200"
  • 2004-2006 non-Type-S 6MT thickness: 0.980"
  • 2007-2008 Type-S all trans diameter: 12.200"
  • 2007-2008 Type-S all trans thickness: 0.980"

What may be messing you up is Brembo makes rotors for both the base 5AT cars as well as the 6MT and Type-s cars; you may have the wrong front rotors.

Thank you very much for that info. After doing some research looking up part #s it turns out the vendor I bought this kit from sold me front rotors for a regular TL but of course improperly advertised the kit as being able to fit for a Type S model as well. Will be filing for a return with them shortly. Thanks again for the info.
