I thought it was replaced only if from a manufactured defect. If this is true I will buy that brand next
It sounded kinda off to me also. How can a company make any money, if they only sell the pads "new" once, and then warranty replace them after that, due to normal wear. Well, I went in to buy a set, and before I could even bring it up to the manager, about warranty replacement, she told me to "Be sure to bring them back before the wear indicator starts hitting. So that you can get a new set." I asked her if they would still be replaced due to normal wear. She said yes. That they still get some kind of credit for the replacement.

For whatever it's worth to the community, why not try it. I am

The wear indicator is usually located on the backside, of the inside pad. If you replaced them two months ago, chances are that the pads are still good, and the indicator isn't even close to touching yet. Did you install them with any anti squeel on the shims, and lube up the piston top?

My buddy has turned in two sets now.. no issue. They're limited to misuse, not wear. My pads are still running strong. I don't expect to bring them in for another year at least.

They say bring back the old pads when they are worn....if you are the person who bought the pads...lifetime warranty doesn't transfer with change of ownership...I haven't actually replaced my set but am assuming it won't be a problem

Problems - Thoughts?

Hey Everyone,

I replaced my front rotors and pads, going with duralast rotors and CMAX gold pads.

But I'm having some real post-job issues.....

- On the passenger's side, the caliper piston doesn't seem to be putting pressure on the pads. I went for a test drive, and there was still some rust (from a wash) and a tiny smudge of grease on the rotor.

- On the driver's side, I'm getting heavy dusting. Probably because it is doing the work for both sides.

- When driving, my front end feels "rough". A shush....shush.....shush sound can be heard at low speeds. And you can feel sort of a light grinding feel in the pedals.

Do I need to get new calipers? Any ideas?

It's a one-time fee of $60+. I used them on my 07 Subaru Legacy and they were great. Lasted about 30k which is good for Western PA. Took them to Autozone and no questions asked. Going to install these on my TL this weekend. I have absolutely no problems with buying stuff at Autozone. I've never had any issues. Replaced belts on Legacy from there. Turned out great.
