dealerships in canada don't sell A-Spec lips anymore?

Is the only place to get them is from the states? Is it worth it to pay CAD $450 for just the front lip and get it painted for $250? So basically just $700 for the front lip.

what do you guys think? worth it?

250 to paint the tiny front lip? that seems like alot. I paid like 4k to get my whole car painted and on the invoice I believe it was like 350-400 for the whole front bumper including the lip.

tiny pieces dont get discounted.
it's still the same amount of work, regardless of size.

and most of the kits are getting discontinued....

4k?! Is that with your own prep work? Here I was quoted 7.5k for a full respray, no colour change. Ended up going with just a full front end respray with side mirrors for about 3.5k

Not sure what shops you are frequenting, 4k around here gets you a professional high end same color job that will last.

No thats all prep work done by the shop and its OEM quality if not better...its not some shitty hole in the wall shop either.. take a peek at my thread in the photo gallery. I also paid in cash so I got a sweet deal it was closer to 5500-6k with taxes and he took some off the top of the principal amount too

Canadian dealerships started phasing out leftover accessory stock for 3rd gen TLs a couple years ago.

$250 does seem high. Shop around more

OEM lips from the States come painted OEM colours already, so no need to paint them. I really want the A-Spec kit myself. I also got quoted $250 to paint the front lip. So $140 for a fiberglass lip + $250 to paint. Or $450US for a painted OEM front lip. I think I'm leaning towards the OEM and just driving down and get it installed there. Will see how the exchange rate goes.

Mind you, I have never had an issue with Fiberglass. On my Maxima, I scrapped and banged that thing everywhere and it never cracked.

Wow, that's bad timing for you. I bought the entire A-Spec kit from Bruce (ACKTL05) for $800 CAD shipped to my door. This was 2 years ago when the Canadian dollar was almost at par with the US dollar. Too bad our dollar is in the toilet right now. Personally I would never pay $700 CAD for just the front lip, but if you REALLY want it, OEM is the only way to go.

Unfortunately, many colours are discontinued

If you're lucky enough to have your colour still available, picking it up from the border is the best bet
