The salesmen don't know anything until the car is on the lot. Even if they do know somethig they sure won't tell you with '03s still on the lot.
Same thing happened in '02. The sales guy didn't know anything one day and suddenly the next day he was enlightened when the '02s showed up on the lot.

one thing i learned from talking to sales people at the dealerships is they ALWAYS know less than I do. These guys get information handed down from so many diff people its like playing telephone...the information will always be fuxored

Amen to the dealerships being idiots, I've worked at a Honda dealership, most didn't know anything other than what the brochure could tell you. Even then, they were about a year or two behind.
I told them about the Pilot, the Element AND the Civic Hybrid MONTHs before anyone there had a clue otherwise. I dunno whats with Honda dealers. I don't imagine Acura is any better, they aren't from what I can tell.

i asked some guys about the TSX back in november and they were totally confused as to what it was. They had never heard of it and thought it might be some car from overseas that wasnt coming here - but in all fairness they said they didnt know and sometimes the internet has information that they dont know .

Thats how I got into selling Honda's for a while, they were blown away that I actually knew something about the cars.
As for the production TL not being like the prototype, if you saw the various interviews with the designers, they claimed they were going to be very faithful to the original design.

They will always say or do anything to push out the inventory they have now..Why try to sell a car coming soon when they would get stuck with current model year, know what I mean?

I have done it..... Having knowledge about what your selling is a major part of selling (if you want to be truthful and fair)...
