DE-BADGED..... 3G Garage #E-016
Just a question for all you seasoned owners.... Can all the badges on the rear decklid be taken off?!?!? Or are some of them/all of them screwed in?!?!?! LOL I know that on my Audi all of the parts came right off.... but this is my first import.... so the question when I get them off will there be big holes?!?!?!
Thanks in advance./////
PS if any of you have pictures of your rears (no not your arses) without badges.... I would love to see.

The ACURA and TL badges are easily removed. I used dental floss to run under the badges, but you can use anything similar. The middle badge is held in by two bolts, so you can only remove it if you want to do some body work.

I'm a new owner (3 weeks) and forgot to ask the dealer to omit the dealership sticker. It's a clear decal immediately above the "ACURA" badge on the trunk lid. I've been afraid to try to take it off so far. Any insight on how to take it off?

If you change your mind, go to any body shop and ask them if you can have a little of what they use. You would need so little that I don't think there would be any charge.
I have some 3M black double sided sticky tape, it is soft and easy to use, and I use that to reattach emblems, so you could look for that in a parts store or body shop supply store. It is too thin so I double it up and it works great.

The orgin of debadging is from the autobahn. People in V-12 BMWs and Benzs or M/AMG cars, would take off their badges to fool people into thinking they had a slow car.
This then caught on with people that bought I-6 S-classes and 318 BMWs who wanted people to think they bought the more expensive 600 or say 325, etc
This is really weird as the TL is only offered with one engine. So clearly it is for a cleaner look on the rear. I say leave the badges, as the rear looks Galantish to me.
Goo Gone is highly recommened for those that do debadge.

Burning Brakes
goo gone was not needed for me at all. i just washed the car first--put a hair dryer to it for about 2 min and they peeled right off-the adhesive stayed on the emblems-

I'm getting a WDP next week and would like to make this car look more "sport" than "luxury". I've already ordered 19" 5 spoke rims and will tint the back 5 windows. Pics to come.
My question is to get an opinion on rebadging the back with a red emblem (WDP) and taking off the lettering. Also, spoiler on a 4 door?
Thanks
