Crank shaft pulley tool

Was wondering if anyone has a 50 mm crank shaft pulley removal / install tool. I'm more interested in buying an actual Honda tool, not a tool that might bend or break. Any info as to where i could purchase one online or should i just go to the dealer? Thanks.

I haven't purchased one yet. Have you used the powerbuilt tool before? Is it made for a half inch breaker bar?

I purchased the tool from home depot, Capri Tools. basically same quality as described by powerbuilt.
It costed me 20 bucks and it took me 2 tries with a 2'.8" cheater bar to break the bolt loose. Worth it

Your local major autoparts retailer will likely have this tool available to rent for free. Why spend the $$ if you don't have to? Just my opinion.

Not if you have a high torque impact.
Here's an IR-780 ft-lbs of maximum forward/reverse torque & 1100 ft-lb of nut-busting torque, but @ $500.

Don't have to hold the crank. I have a UR pulley so nothing to hold. Just get an Impact gun. Lets see if my 350fl/lb electric impact with this socket can get it loose

^^^^^^ With the UR pulley, how do you torque it to 180 when you put the bolt back on?

Just used that socket i posted up today. Took it off the car in 2-3 sec. Made that crank pulley bolt look like a lug nut. My corded impact gun only rated for 350ft/lb of tq. So you get the idea. Probably a HF one with this socket would save you a bunch of time and cussing. From beginning to end it took about 45 mins. Most of the time was spent jacking up the car take positioning the jacks

That's a pretty cool socket, but I wouldn't feel comfortable torquing the bolt back down with an impact gun. It didn't take me no more than a minute to get the bolt off with the correct tools. And a second hand to torque it back down.

definitely feel you on that, but those lightweight crank pulley don't have a place to hold it.

So are you MT or AT? It doesn't turn the engine over when tightening with the 350 ft-lb impact wrench?

6MT and not it didn't turn the engine when I hit it in the impact to tighten it. I use a regular impact socket, not that 2lb slug. Got it tight and then made a 1/6 of turn on the bolt. That should be enough to keep it from flying off. Already took it for a 20 mins drive no problems

took off my stock diameter UR one and put back the stock oem crank because selling the car. So semi-part out.

can you post a pick of your crankshaft pulley. Or list the manufacturer. I would like to see what it looks like, thanks.

Just like to add, if everyone believes the dealerships, or even independents, use a torque wrench when tightening the bolts down, I have a bridge for sale.
In fact, some of the bolts on the Acura are well above the factory torque specs. Guess the robot had an off day.

There was a deal on a Milwaukee M18 for $249 just a month ago from Dewalt Tools, Greenlee Tools, Ridgid Tools, Milwaukee Tools, Proto Tools | Toolup.com with no tax, this is what I bought. Same nut busting torque rating as the competing Ingersoll Rand and Dewalt.

have a can of PB blaster ready. You live in Florida so rust should not be an issue compared to people above the salt belt.
