Seems like a very inexpensive option. Just wondering how the fit and finish looks in real life.

Says only for 04-06. Any thoughts on why it wouldn't work on my 07?

The only thing I can think of is the headlight AUTO sensor hole that's different.
Besides that, shape is the same. Perhaps cut your own hole for it?

If you want to spend a little more money, I'd look into the coverlay option.

I'll be going with the coverlay come Spring time. It seems to look the best IMO. My dash is getting worse by the day with this cold weather.

I've been mulling that over too. Actually was my first option. My plan was to get it and wrap in faux CF. It will probably look better than the dash mat, but seems like a lot of work though

Same here. Started this past summer with a small crack and this winter has really made it bad.

I would highly recommend getting a dashmat! They look nice IMO and can add protection. I just ordered a matching set for my 2008 Acura TL from Dashmat.com. The exact models I got were a black CoverKing in polyester carpet for both the front dash and rear deck. I have a PMM/Taupe interior, but my all weather mats are black, as well as the dash/trim is black, so that's why I chose black.

Honestly, I am very fortunate as my dash is currently crack free. I will continue to keep the dash treated with 303 aero, but if it were to crack I wouldn't worry too much because I would have used a Dashmat either way.

Maybe I just miss my 02 RL, which also had a Dashmat, but I like them. The CoverKing is maybe a little spendy but they fit very nicely and have options like speaker cutout (or not). I chose full cutouts for all speakers, front and rear. Hopefully this helps for those interested.

Regards,
Al

I would be happy to post pics as soon as my Coverking mats arrive. They are custom molded to order so mine won't ship until 2/25. Who knows, maybe they will be a little early.

I also had Dashmat brand mats in my old RL, and the polyester carpet was really nice. The only reason I chose Coverking this time is because they also offered a rear deck option to match.

If you are interested in the Dashmat or Coverking poly carpet check this out:

Also, for something a little different, check out this cool Dashmat variety:

@aldocella1: check post #7 in this thread
https://acurazine.com/forums/third-g...inutes-925500/

I emailed Coverlay regarding the airbag concerns and this is their response.

Hello,

Yes the dash covers have been tested for air bag deployment, to insure the safety of our customers. If you have any other questions feel free to let me know.

Thank you,
Rocio

I asked about test data and the rep is waiting for the data from the manager:

"I am waiting for the test data from the productions manager. Also, OEM buys our dash covers directly from us and drop ships them. "

As promised, here or some pics of the CoverKing poly carpet (front and rear):

I got them in the mail earlier today and let them lay flat on the table for most of the day (overnight would be ideal). They are rolled tight for shipment, and need to flatten back out. Then, I did a test fit to get an idea of how they would look.

Finally, I took some rubbing alcohol to clean the dash and attached little 1 inch squares of hook and loop fasteners scattered around pretty evenly. Once they were adhered, I went back over the dash with 303 Aero to recondition. Then it's just a matter of patiently working the carpet into place.

For the rear, I didn't need to use alcohol because the fasteners stuck pretty well to the fabric. Process for the back was pretty much the same, install fasteners then spread the carpet out (align cutouts, etc...).

Hopefully this helps you guys feel better about those cracked dashes!
